any othor players had boemrcluased. He
said the team, with the exception of Kelly,
had been pluying good ball and tho loss of

them indifferent. Mr. Johnson suid that
he had telegraphed and written to Kelly
that if be pitches another inning he will
be bounced forthwith, and what Mr.
Johnson says ho means. Bettcc results
from the homo team are expected this

AND ITS VALUE TO US
A Declaration Made by the Great Doc
tor Fothergill for the Benefit of the
People of the World Has
Aroused Much
Attention.
London, Eng. April 30 The follow
ing statement, made by the late Dr. J.
Milner Fothergill, the eminent scien
tist, who was physician for tho London
Hospital for diseases of tha chest, has
made quite a sensation. After de
nouncing oils and similar substances
when UBod as food, ne said: "Fatty,
oily foods cannot be taken by those
whoss stomachs are weak or whose di
gestive organs are ont of order. What
food should such people have ? I say
they need fool which acts as u
itftngthenei and Biistaiuor, as fuel to
feed the lamp of life, and that is starch
food. A loltlble starch food which will
UK. ,1 MlLttUB FOT11EKU1M,
be readily assimilated by the digestive
organs is the foirti for people whose di
gestive organs aro weak."
It v. , i: oulv natural that eucli n Htutc-
meut, coming from so high an authdri
ty, should have made a profound im
pression among the leading physicians
and scientists of Europe, and it brings
into special prominence the recent dis
covery of pre-digested starch food
kurhvn to doctors, to scientists and tho
world ns Paskola. Comparatively few
peoplo outside tho highest medical cir
cles know of this wonderful discovery,
out It is known to possess the qualities
of 11 'sh-forming, ulreugth-imparting,
life-giving liowe r which has never been
Known before in tbo history of the
world.
Tests which have been made show
ing a weak, pale, run-down condition,
fcticompiinicAl within indigestion und
general loss of energy, have shown
most rtinurkablu results, and it is not
improbable that i the discovery of Pa
kolu will be accepted as the flesh-forming
food of the nineteenth century by
the highest uutlionties in both Etiropo
und America. Certainly it is superced
ing cou liver mi.-, ueei tea, nun toe nil-
ty preparations which have been nsed
to extensively in tho pst, and the re
sults so fsr achieved amply warrant
tho wisdom of thoio who have ttakeu
such action.
