The monthly report of Ouief of Police Simpson tor the month of December shows that the total number of arrests was 138. Of that number forty-one were for drnnkeaness, thirty-six for drunk aud disorderly, thirty-two for lightiug and tweuty-uiue for minor offences. Twenty-nine cbsss were committed to the county jail; thirty-six were die charged at the bearing, rour were bound over to r.onrt.
