The Bricklayers Union, No. 2, ,of New

whom 1030 are working eight, and 511 ten
hours, anti 70 idle; 1824 are • in good stand

recent strike, the Unions in Now York re
ceived snliseriptions,tiecording to the official
report, outmoding to $20,801 75,and expend
ed $27,742 76: • They have now a balance of

United Coopers, of New York, are making
arrangements for a strike to obtain an in
crease of wages for the piece hands. During
the dull season of last winter, wages were

rel makers, after a prolonged centestonic
..ceeded in obtaining an advance. At present,
men on other descriptions of piece work are
'preparing to strike for an advance to the old

tives in the Richmond Mill, at Newport, R.,
J., recently reported 'on a - strike, have re
turned to their work.
