After three days' hard work they mann•

• On the 21st of Most they reached Cape
Terrell, in 10 deg. 80 min. N. lat., and 21
deg. 80 Min. E. long.. The coast was lofty
and full of glaciers, some of which descend
ed to the sea level, and they witnessed the
rupture of several large masses, which pro
elpitnted themselves, into the ,sea with an
awful crash, and throwing up the spray to a
great height. A small strip of scanty moss
vegetation was visible here mid there at the
edge of the coast.. At Cape Terrell' there is
no lending place, as the shore is rocky and
perpetually,7ashed , by a heavraarf. These
rocks are of limestone formation.
Near this cape the Germania anchored in
what Captain Koldewey has christened
"Herman Bay," With the intention of re
maining for some time in this part of the
t3t,rtdta of Hinlopen; and here they lauded.

her house, and did all she could to hasten
