while, Colonel McClure was skiking m front
of the League Rooms; a young man, whose

husband in the upper market house listening
to the speaker. Piker Boone was at hand

formatory Institute" ho was discharged, and
may thank his stars that he gets oft so easily.

tang, nt the Keystone Mouse, a bed spread
composed of 0,570 pieees of silk, made into
780 stars. The silk is of all colora, and it
required, on an average, 120 stitches to sew
each piece to the surrouttding ones. It re ,
quired n year's labor to piece the qdilt, and
it has been estimated that there are 694,200
stitches in it. Tho material used was Milli'.
ner's silk, altrow and of the bait quality.—
In'the centre of the , spread is it large star, in
which are smaller stars—in fact the *hole
design represents stars wfrthin stars,and pre
sent& a splendid appearatice. It was made
by the better half of Mr. Wise;of the Gazette
office.
