The Mortgage Bonds of the Connecting Railway
Company, between the station of the PenusVvaula
Railroad Company In West Philadelphia and Frank
ford. a distance of seven mites„ can be obtained at
this Office, No. 53.38 South TB - MD Street.
These bonds are in sums of one thousand dollars,
With interest coupons attached, payable at said
(Mice on the lath day of March And September in each
year, at the rate of six per centum per annum, and
the principal payable in live equal annual amounts,
at the rate of it". , Z0,000 per annum—the first series on
September IS. A. D. 1900. The principal and Interest
are secured 11y a mortgage for one million of dollars
non all the railway province! of the company,
and are guaranteed by the Pennsylvania Railroad
Company. 'These bonds are made free of State taxes
by the Company.
The railway is being constructed in the most sub
stantial manner, and will be completed during the
ensuing year. This road perfects the connection
between the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New
York lines 7.11 Philadelphia, and becoming, as it
will, the main channel of communication between
New Tort and the West, as well as to and from the
National Capital, will always obtain large reve
nues,. and be one of the most Important railways of
the Dillon.
. .
Muter a contratt with the Philadelphia and Tren
ton Railroad Company, that company loaaaa the
road of the Connecting Railway Company, and
agrees to pay au annual rent for 999 years of six per
centum upon the cost of the road, clear of taxes.
These bonds are therefore recommended as a first
class security.
