" CLOTH LINING.
MARK.
The Cloth Lined Collars made by the LOCK WOOD
MFG. CO. 255 South Street, Philadelphia,
have been in general use since 1849, and notwith
standing the fact that numerous imitations of them
have been made they still rank superior to any Col
lar in the market.
They are the only collars lined throughout with
cloth, with a layer of paper on each side, and are
shaped upon formers, or moulds so as to tit the
neck and allow a space for the cravat, The peculiar
process used in their manufacture, makes Diem re
semble linen very closely; when finished the fibres
of the cloth give the appearance of linen to the
paper. They are very strong and do not tear at the
uutton-homs,and are the only collars made that Call
be turned and worn on both sides without the but
ton-holes giving way and the paer tearing,
Parties purchasing collars willbe careful to see
that each collar is stamped upon the inside—Lock
wood We. Vs. Cloth Lined, with the Trade Mark of
the Co. and da le of Patents. Do not be deceived by
the boxes or false representations, but see for your
self, lithe collar itself Is not stamped upon the in
side as above, It is not genuine.
The enormous demand for these goods (largely Olt
eceding that of any collar made) has kept them sold
ahead of production, but with a large amount of
new machinery, this Co. is now able to fill all orders
promptly, either in Philadelphia or at any of the
Agencies.
In addition to these best standard goods, several
lower grades of collars are constantly to stock.
The Lockwood Mfg. Co. are the sole licenses under
Bunt's and Lockwood's Patts purchasin g rst on Paper
Collars ever issued, ) and by these goods
parties avoid difficulties and lawsuits, which are
now beingyigorously prosecuted against all dealers
in other Makes of
steersollars, which infringe one

Tn the preparation of this volume it has been the
purpose to preserve, in permanent form, the span•
taneous tributes of esteem and affection tendered
to the memory of our late beloved President by the
poetical writers of our own and other eountries. -
It seems especially fitting that the tender regard
which Mr. Lincoln had won for himself during the .
four eventful years Of his Presidency, and - which
has found so many al, d such heartfelt estpre.s6lolll3
since his untimely death, should have a lasting re
cord; and both - tor the gratification of those who
have mingled their tears over the remains of the
illustrious dead, and as an evidence to Tutor...! gene

him, this volume is now put forth.
