NATIONAL FAIR at the Academy of Music on the
Twenty third day of October next, for the purpose of
raising a BUILDING and RE DOWNES? FUN]) for the
.Institution with which they &reconnected.
The undersigned commend this project to the favora
ble notice of their fellow eititens of the united Mates.
The SOLDIERS' HOME Mee been incorporated by the
State of Penneylvania, for the relief Or tioldiers and
Seamen who have been honorably discharged from and
the Childreh of those who have died in, the cerise of
the Country.
The COOPER SHOP SOLDIERS' HOME has been
merged in this Institution by Le relative authority. and B
is now in enewseral operation. at ae the building now
occupied, at the corner of Race and Crown streets, is
entirely inadequate to the necessitlee of the Home, the
teenagers have given their sanction to the proposed
YALE.
Although the HOME is located in Philadelphia, its
benefactions are not limited by State boundaries. Its
doors are freely opened to every deserving Soldier and
Sailor of the Republic who seeks St Winton.

The orphan children, whose fathers have fallen in our
great struggle. are also sPecially entitled to the public
favor and protection. Let us provide a Home 'worthy of
(heir acceptance,and worthy of a people whose property
they have reelected. whose liberty they have secured,
whose government they have eared, and whose hearts
they have gladdened bytheir eplendid achievements.
