its benefits. .
The stock of the Company has been divided Into 25,*
000 shares, at $lO per share, making a capital of *250,-

It is the Intention of tfate Compear to furnish each of

annually, for each share of stock, held by them daring
the existence o! this Company (which has been char
tered for sixteen yean) at cost, if the stockholder de
sires to receive it. - • • •• , . .
Last winter a ton of coal of only 2000 pounds cost at
your door $l2 60, while the mining and transporting of
atonof 2.240 pounds, cost only $7.60: thus making the
enormous profit of five dollars on a single ton of eoal,
betides the difference in weight. Whypsrth* differ
ence, when by becoming a member of the Housekeep?
ere’ Coal Company yon will become directly connected
with the mining ana delivery of your own Goat, there
by securingJt goad, clean , cheap, and of full weight ?
All these oensfiis are secured to you at once If you
join this Company. The character of the gentlemen
haying this enterprise in charge is sufficient guarantee
that the objects of the Association will be folly verified.
The Company'have procured the lease of the well-.
known colliery of * * Branch dale, * * Bltuated about seven
miles from FottsvUle, on a braneh of .the Minehill and
Schuylkill Haven Railroad. The coaliaof the best
Quality of the region, it being the celebrated Bpohnvein.
The mine will now yield 40.000 tons of coal per year,
and can readily be made to double its present produc
tion at a very small cost The supply may he said to be
inexhaustible, for, so far as the existence of this Com
pany is concerned, it certainly is so. t .
The mine Is incomplete working order, with all the
machinery audperional property necessary and usual to
work a first-class colliery* „ • ,_ . _
The stock of this Company Is not an inflated one, it
being based upon a fair equivalent in property.
The investment wiiiba a good one, as the Company
expestio realise sufficient profit from the sale of the sur
plus of all coal miffed 0V« 26,000 tons, H pay a good
semi-annual dividend. ,

THIRD SERIES.
$230,000,000.
By authority of tho Seenlary of Ih, Treemry. tho
underlined, the General Subicrlptlon Aient for the
eale of United States Secnrltios, offers to the public
tho tlird series of Treasnnr Notes, blaring rnvoa and
three-tenths per cent, lnterist per annnmi known as tho
SEVEN-THIRTY LOAN,
Those Notes are Issnid under date of July 15, 1885,
and are payable three year* from that data in cur
rency, or are convertible at tho option of tho holder Into
U. S. 5 20 SIX. PER CENT.
GOLD-BEARING BONDS,
Them Bonds are now worth a handsome premiums
and are exempt, as are all the Govemnisnt. Ronds,.
from Slate, County, and Munietpal taxation, which
adds from one to three per cent, more to their vatue,
according to the rate levied upon other property. The
interest is payable semi-annually by coupons attached
to each note, width may be eat off and cold to any bank
or hanker.
The interest at 7 SO per cent, amounts to
' One cent per day on a *5O note.
Two cents per day on a *lOO note.
Ten cents per day on a *5OO note.
Twenty cent! per day on a $l,OOO note.
One Dollar per day on a *5,000 note.
' Botei or aU the denomination* named WIU 1)9
promptly furnished upon receipt of subscription.
The notes of this Third Scries are precisely similar in
form and privilege* to the Seven-Thlrtlei already sold,
except that the Government reiervei to itself the option
of paylni interest in cold coin at 6 per cent, instead of
7 8-l Otha In entrsney. Subscriber! Will deduct the in
terest in enrrency up to July 15th, at the time when
they subscribe.
The delivery of the notes of this Third Scries of tho
Seven-Thirties Will commence on the Ist of Jnne, and
will be made promptly and continnonsly after that date.
The illtht change made in the conditions ef this
THIRD SERIES affects only the matter of interest.
L Tho payment la gold, if made, bo equivalent to
the currency interest of the higher rote.
The return to specie payments. In the event of which
only will the option to pay Interest in geld be availed
of, would ss reduce and equalize prices*! that pur
chases mads with six per cent. In gold would be folly
eqhal to those made with seven and three-tenths per
cent, in currency.. This is
THE ONLY LOAN IN MARKET
now offered by tho Government, and its superior ad
vantages make it tho
GREAT POPULAR LOAN OF THE PEOPLE.
Less than (230.000.0c0 of tho Loan authorized hr
Congress are now in the market. This amount, at
tho rate at which it is being abeotbed, will aU bo
subscribed fer within sixty days, when the notes
will undoubtedly command a premium, as has uni
formly be'sn the sacs on dosing tits subscriptions to
other Loan*.
In order that eitizens of every town und section of tho
country may bO Afforded facilities for taking tho Loan,
tho Rational Bank!, State Banks, and Private Bankers
