The following is a description of the Company’s pro perty: One-fonrth fee simple Interest in the celebrated “Hoover” Farm.cituate on the Allegheny river, about two and one-half miles below Franklin, con taining j»2 (two hundred and ninety-two) acres, with 332 rode (or over, dnemile)front on the Allegheny river, on which there are now twelve leases, each ten rods square, and from which the owners of the fee simple get one half theoil, free of all expense. Besides this, there are two wells owned by the owners of the fee, from which they get All the oil. On this Farm there are now .ten wells in operation, producing an average of ton barrels per day. and several others are abont being tnbed. There are also on it 187 (eighty-seven) more lots, surveyed, and moie than fifty applications are now standing to lease the latter forone bslf the Oil to the owner*. Ontol the twelve wells on this Harm eleven are now paying handsomely; a fact which sufficiently demon strates the great richness and reliability of the terri tory. Is the entire fee simple interest In 181 (one hundred and eighty-one) acres, situate oathe Allegheny river, near ly opposite the"** HooVer ” Farm, and a little nearer Franßlln, at the month of Mill Bun, having a front of 96 rods on the Allegheny river, and one mile on both rides of Hill Bun, with ample boring surface for one lmm&red wells, or Lois ot ton rode square. This tract Is known as the “Stewart Farm," and is clear of all leasee or Incumbrances of any hind. There Is now lit operation a fifty-barrel well (beside several smaller ones) on ihe Cochran Farm, which ad joins this on the Muth. In fact, the “Stewart" Farm isftorowuied with good-paying wells, And within a short time a single lease of 80. rods front, on the Imm.- dlate opposite side of-the river, sold for »16ft 000 (one hundred and sixty-five thousand dollar*.) On this lease a' good well has been struck within a fo w days.. The durability of this Immediate oil section Is illus trated by the fact that some of the wells on the “Hoov er’ • Farm bare been pumping for over fonr years, with out any material diminution in their yield, while the oil herb produced, from* its greater convenience for transportation and snperior gravity, always commands from one to two dollars per barrel more than the oil at Oil Creek. The officers of the Company feel justified In present ing the following estimate of what, with vigorous management, the above lands can be mad* to yield for the benefit of the stockholders in a comparatively short U “ S: THE "STEWART FASH." There Is room on this for ono hundred lots of ten rods square, all of which can be leased Immediately for one half the oil, free of all expense to the Company, Estimating one well to each lot (ono hundred wells, although there Is loom for three hundred) st the very moderate average of ten barrels each, would make a ' Dally product of- * 1,000 bbls* Out of this the Company’s share would he. 600 bbls. AND CONSISTS OP First, m acres choice territory in fee simple on Hickory Week, oommenctog. about 875 rods from its month, on the Alieiheny river, and extending alona either side of theoieek, a distance of 260 rodsTmaktSJ a water front entire of COO rods, or room at least for 203 wells. The developments now being made io this local ity. combined with the late strikes on Pit Hole Creek, and other.tributanei of the river, show and establish conclusively the fact that time and labor are the only necessary requisites to the obtaining of large paying Wells on this territory. The land is subject to two leases of one-half acre each, the Company receiving one half the oil, and being at no expense. Second. One- quarter lease- hold lots Nos. 48 and 49, ALLEGHENY PETROLEUM COMPANY, * On the Allegheny river, about one-fourth mile above Horte Or*ek* and about thirty rods from a well now said to be producing 40 barrels of oil per day. These lots join front, each'B rods on the river—and extend back some 20 rods—making a frontage of 16 rods. TWO WELLS Are going down on this property, one of ’which Is neatly completed—being about some 400 feet; The in dications are that this will be a big well, as already several fine veins of oil have been struck. LEASE, TWENTY TEAKS,' Royalty, three-eighths oflhe oil. ■ Third..9-lCthslease-hold JniotNo. 39^ BPBINGFIELD PETBOLEUM COMPANY, On Cherry Bun, about three quarters of a mile above the "Seed” well, and but a short distance from the ’“Auburn, 1 * ••Yankee,” • and other good wells. There is room on the property for three wells, one of which is now being vigorously prosecuted. * Thirty 'days, it Is confidently believed, will make this well ready for testing, av the machinery and everything con nectedwiih it is of rite first order. Lease, 20 years; Bor<y, one-half of the oil. - Fourth. The entire lease-hold of lot No 18, ST. NICHOLAS OIL COMPANY, . Cherry Bun. On this property there is room for four Welle, one of whichis now being sunk. As this lease is located near the famous Beed, Baker, aud Grocery wells, producing respectively 280.100, and 200 barrels, there is Bcsxcely a doubt of abundant success The record of Cherry Bun chronicles-no failure In this favorite lo cality Lease, 28 years; Royalty, half the oil, Subscription Book for a limited number of the above shares now open at the office of __ ‘ McCDTCHEON St COLLINS," »40 and »43 North FRONT Street Philadelphia, Feb. 27,1665. fe27*6fc INSURANCE.
