The fee simple tide to the PRIOR PARK, a tract of one hundred acres on T6n-Mile-Creek, four miles from its month, and about seventy from Pittsburg, with which there is daily steamboat communication from the month of the creek, on the Monongahela river. There is ample boring ground oh the creek, and on three runs, one of which borders the land half a mile. The entire tract Is underlaid by a five- feet vein of bituminouscoil, and there are fifteen acres of excellent timber 2a ad on the farm. ,2. lease of Michael Bowser of two acres of bottom land on Ten-Mile- Greek, near the village of Clarks ’villa- Oil indications in front of lease on the creek. 3- A of one acre of beautiful bottom land, on, Ik® of Solomon Hoge, on Bud's Creek, four miles -?*rm. One-eighth of the oil is reserved by the lessor. The Company have erected an engine near these wells, and are now boring with every en couragement of success S A lease of two thirds of an acre of bottom land on Dnnkard Creek, adjoining the Tillage of JUeunt Morris. This lot Ib nearly opposite the Patrick Don.y farm, on which there is an Oil Spring, affording the best oil in dications in the county. An engine is about being placed on this lease . 6. A lease of three acres oil land of P. L Tygard, ad joining the village of BiaokevUle, on Dnnkard Greek, in the neighborhood of a fine surface show. The Greens c jonty amber oil Is the clearest and purest Carbon yet discovered, and commands from eight to tin cents per-gallcnmoie than the Kanawha and Venango oil, and it is confidently expected this will become the most important oil region of the State. A fund la reserved in the treasury for'developing the land, and improvements will be carried on witn the greatest energy. ' The property is not incumbered with any reservation to the original owner, and the prospect of early securing a large oil product, which the natural position of the land, the surface indications, and the successful flow of oil in the immediate neighborhood, give most unmistakable evidences that success will follow our efforts—there can scarcely be a doubt bat that our Company will at an early day be enabled to make as fair returrs to the stockholders for the amount invested as any other yet formed. The valuable Oil territory of this Company 1b located on the Kanawha river, Gilmore county, west Virginia, some distance above its continence with the Ohio at Parkersburg (the ter mints of the Baltimore and Ohio Bailroad), and lies directly neon and in a direction across the great * ‘ Oil Belt * 1 of this region (as may be seen upon the map), in the immediate vicinity of the wonderful “Burning Springs, ” now regarded a sure Indication of the presence of oil, fro m the fact that it is the oil gas that rises to the euif&ce and bums upon the water. This property consists of an area of 1,185 acres of magnificent oil and mineral lands, of whioh the Company owns an undivided half interest in fee aim extending I*£ miles on the Kanawha river, which s navigable to the Ohio. Other streams, tributaries'of the Kanawha, traverse this tract, presenting alongtheir margins every surface indication of a rich yield of oiL (The Company holds the right to put down wells all over this extensive boxing surface, and oil has already been discovered on this property, near the river, at the depth of 35 feet. The sinking of two wells to the depth of 800 feet; if necessary, was provided for In the purchase - of the land, all of which is paid for without touching the working or reserved capital of the Company. In addi tion to this, the Company owns an important interest .(also paid for) in a well located within 400 yards of the great Lewelly n well, which has flowed 2,500 barrels per day, and. is directly among the celebrated Kathbone fro up (see map). These are, it is said, the greatest pro ncing wells in the country. The former owners of this well were forced to abandon it on the breaking out of the rebellion, but the Company has now made ar rangements to reopen and tube it, when a large yield of oil may reasonably be expected from this Source alone. In addition to the above described properties, the Com pany owns in fee simple some 400 acres of mineral lands in Pennsylvania. This Company is most fortunate in possessing every facility for rapidly developing the oil* having on its own property both timber and coal in great abundance, and in also having the resident Su perintendent of the works, Mr. T. G. Farnsworth, largely interested as a stockholder. • The manage ment being in the hands of practical men. of indomi able energy and perseverance, the stockholders may reasonably expect toon to find their shares ranking with tbe best dividend-paying stocks on the market; for, being out of debt, and having a large working capital, the holders of stock in this Company take no risk of being called upon, for additional means to carry on the operations of tbe Company, but on the contrary* as soon as oil shall be obtained In sufficient quantities, a dividend on the capital stock will he declared. STEPHENS, The property consists of one hundred and thirty (133) acres, In fee simple, of valuable Lubricating Oil Land, comprised of three tracts, situate upon the right bank of' Sugar Ore eh, Venango county, Pennsylvania. Sugar Creek runs on a course nearly parallel with Oil Greek, at a distance of about seven miles from it. It rhea near the headwaters of Oil Creek, and empties into French Greek, above Franklin. The Company's property has been carefully selected, and has all the usual Burfaee indication of food oil territory. One hundred acres of the land are flat or bottom land, with a front on the Greek and Hastings' Run of about one mile, giving an abundant space for drilling a large number of oil wells. Weils of Lubricating Oils have, been struck on adjoining farms.both above and below, upon the creek, and a welt yielding twenty barrels per day is within One-fourth of a mile above the Company's property on Sugar Creek. The RubbsOl Oil Company's lauds are situated immediately opposite this tract upon Sugar The wells in this vicinity yield the Lubricating. Oil, worth per barrel double the price whioA is paid for the Oil Creek oil; and although the wells are smaller, yet it ie believed that oil is more certainty obtained as the result of the drillings. The large front upon the creek, to be owned by the Company in fee simple, will of course prevent any interference with the wells. It is proposed to lease to responsible parties small lots upon the Company's lands, the lessees paying all the expenses of drilling, dec., upon the usual terms, viz; Delivering to this Company one half of all the oil pro duced free of expense. The Company will retain a large working capital, to .be employed in drilling a number of wells. All necessary machinery will be at once sent to the farm. No reasonable doubt can be en tertained that, aa the result of these operations, large yields of oil will be obtained, paying handsome dlvi deo da to the subscribers. < A limited number of shares may be had at the office of GEORGE HENDERSON, Jr., Slock Broker, No 323 DOCK Street, where the prospectus and all necessary information can be obtained de3l-6t* gjsp» on XARM TO LEASE, THE GREAT- BASIN OJE COMPANY I, BOW read, to make LEASES to Developing Compa nies or individuals. The developed propertieeof this Company are on Oil Creek. The portion immediately prodnettre—upon the i? r £?. 8t BCB , u ~ iß a tract of about four acres on the John McGlintock farm, at the junction of Cherry Kan and Oil Creek. It is well known that the lands upon both these streams are the most certain and reliable, if not the largest, sources of supply of oil anywhere known. The construction of well# m all the neighborhood is gene rally rewarded with success—sometimes very largely, so—as the Seed, the Anderson, the Excelsior wells, and the rich and productive property of the Curtin Compa ny. * On the John McClintock farm (of which, the Be« serve is a part, and in its very centre), nearly every well is a success. On the Reservation there have been five leases made to reliable men, in such manner as not to interfere with tbe mansion and gronndfe atonnd it. On these several leases there are fonr wells computed, and two in a for • ward slate of constitution. Ho. 6 (the Haine3 well), a pumping well, which, at the time of tbe Committee's visit to the property, Nov 22d, was yielding from 80 to 90 barrels per day, has increased to lus barrels at last measurement: and it is believed will soon become a large flowing well It U understood that the half of this well, and that, too, the working hail, was Bold re cently for $176,000. Ho. 1 well was flowing 140 barrels daily when the Committee were on the premises. No s well is pumping and flowing about 126 barrels per day, and promises to flow over 200 barrels per day in a very short time. Ho. i well has commenced to pnmpoil.and premises to be nearly if not quite equal to No. 3. The two Wells* Bos. 2 and 6, now constructing, must add largely to the income of the Company—Ho, 2 only waiting tubing, and Ho. 6 in process of boring. The interest of the Company in the McGlbitoek Be* servation is one-fourth of all the oil produced there from, free of expense, in the existing five leases, and abundant room is afforded for eight or ten additional wells in the territory embraced in these leases. Those - now producing furnish about ICO barrel* daily, or an income of say SI,CCO per day. Tbe Company own, In fee simple* the half acre on which the mansion stands. This will be developed l as rapidly as possible for the benefit of the stockholders. It is believed that the production of the well* or wajs which may be put open this portion of the property, will add largely to the income of the Company. The Company have also purchased one- third interest in three and a half acres on Oil Greek, near the H. McClintock farm, three mixes north of the Reserva tion, and opposite the Esbert farm, where are the lamest wells of the neighborhood. On this property only one well has b.een completed, and is now pro ducing 30 barrels daily, thus giving to the Company an income of 10barrels clear. Another well progress, and much room exists for others, which will soon bo commenced. The tntire present income of the Company is, there fore, based upon 102 barrels per day, which, atlllO, makes an annual revenue of SSO6,OGO. Ata recent meeting of the Corporator it was agreed to reject ail the unproductive property printed in their pamphlet, except the valuable tract cn Bit Hole Creak of 210 acres, and substitute therefor a working capital ofSSO,QCO; by which change the interests of the Stock holders will be greatly snbsetved. Siu.ee the purchase of the property and the publication Of tie Company's Prospectus, the increase in the yield of oil'las nearl- doubled. Iteannot be doubted that few companies present so large an immediate profit; and witb all the wells completed which are now in pro gress, it will compare favorably with the' most success ful of the organized companies. The parties engaged in the organization have aimed to give to the stock holders the largest passible inducement to take the stock—satisfied themselves, with the stockholders, to participate in thoss advantages certain to be produced —by bringing the price of stock as near as possible to the cost of the property. . [From the Commercial List and Price Current orDec. 10,1854.1 ‘*ln these days of the Petroleum mania, when the public mind is bewilder* a and confused by the thou* sand and one new corporations seeking places in the market, and it is necessary to discriminate closely be tween the legitimate and the bogus-companies, it is all important to those desirous of trying their fortunes in lh6 oil chase to know the men who are to manage their Jute; esie; and we are pleased to be able to state tuat the management of the McClintock Reserve Oil Com pany is, in point of respectability and security, second to that of no oil acsociation in our community. * * * * * When the sifting time comes for oil companies, and Corne ll surely will, we predict that the shareholders of toe McClintock Eeeerve Oil Company will have no reason to regret their investment, as will, we fear, be the case with too many. ’ * Philadelphia, Dec. 29,18«. de3l*3t IQS- THE OBIMINAI, - SENECA Oil,” R» OF OHIO.
