CAPITAL, $600,000; SHARES,6O,OOO; PAR VALUE,SIO, The property of this Company is situated on the idle gheny River, and embraced within a distance of about two-and-a-half miles from the town of Franklin, Ye nanco county, Henna., and upon the same side of said rirer. It consists of the entire working interest, {which is one-half of the Oil produced,) in a Lease and Oil Well located on the well-known "Hoover Farm, ’’celebrated as among the first and moat productive Oil Territories, and known as the ** HOOVER & MARSHALL WSLL ” , The lease is for Ten Rods square with & frontage of a like number of rods upon the Hirer, giving room for two more wells, and has an unexpired term of twenty seven years. Tx ere is also a first-class ten horse Engine, Tubing, Tanks, and everything necessary to carry on successful operations. The Well (which is a flowing and pumping one) has been in operation for three years, ana, carelessly han dled, has produced regularly from 100 to 112 bbls. per week (Including stoppage), at times Flowing Eighteen Barrels per day, yielding for the working interest of the Company about $30,000 annually. The Oil is supe rior, its lubricating Qualities commanding for it $3 to $6 per barrel more than the oil from Oil Creek. This well, rightly handled and actively worked by the cele brated Patent Air Pump, leaves but little doubt of its being restored to its original production—-from 40 to 60 barrels per day. The other property of the Company consists in a va luable river tract of fifty acres in fee simple, adjoining the extreme borough One of Franklin, with a large boring surface facing the river, and also upon the creeks that run through the tract, thereby increasing boring surface, and enhancing greatly its value as oil terri tory- In addition to this, it has, from its contiguity to tie county town of one of the most flourishing and ra pidlyrrowlngtowus.of the'State, a-lav*, surface value. In the product of the wells of this region, there has ever been a remarkable uniformity, which, with the late valuable discovery of a 70-barrel well on the island opposite the * 4 Hoover Farm,” and the discovery of large and valuable producing wells all around the Companyproperty, (seeextract below,) stamps the region as one of the most valuable oil territories. The Franklin Citizen , in noticing the new wells recently struck, says: ' * One by Pale A Morrow, on October 12, on the Coch rane Farm, two id ilea below Franklin, which yielded 240 barrels at the first forty-eight hours’ pumping, is considered good for 100 barrels. John Lee has also ob tained a flowing well, on the Martin Farm, just above the Hoover, and nearly opposite the Cochrane, which flows over 60 barrels per day. Also, Mr. Hobs, who owns a lease on the Smith Farm, who has been pump ing 4 barrels per day at 4CB feet deep, sunk his well 424 feet, and struck a well giving 40 barrels per day. All these strikes have been within ten days, and the pros pect of a number more in a short-time. ’ 5 - Fifteen thousand shares have been set aside by the Company for the purpose of boring three more wells This region, with its oil wells so celebrated for their steadiness and durability, ;the great numbers of large flowing and pumping wells recently discovered, the superior quality of the oil as a lubricator, and the high prices always so readily obtained, with extraordinary shipping facilities, from the wells being located on the margin of the river, and only two*aad-a-half miles from the rsllioad, unite to offer parties wishing to in vest in oil territory safely, inducements of the highest character. • . „ Books for subscription are now open at the office of the Company, fto. 308 South FOURTH Street, below Only a limited number of shares willbe sold at $2,50 per share.
