Brigade, is expected to arrive In this arityto-taorrow
morning, at twenty minutes before tent. This orga..

officers and ninety men return. They will be re.

BOUNTY-JUMPER KILLED.
On Sunday, mornin at 2 o'clock, fourprlsoners,
Arnold Auderthutter, S am'l Smith, W. IL A.lexan
der, and William Maher, escaped from the hospital at .Fort Nation. They were fired upon by the sen
tinel on poet, but it is not known with what effeCt.
The guard was at once turned out and search made.
Soon after one of them,Wm. Fisher (Co. D, 56th
P. V.), was challenged by the guard, but failing io
halt be was fired upon and Mortally Wounded. He
died yesterday afternoon. ' His remains will be de
livered to hie friends Upon app lication to the com
manding officer at the fort. No trace of the others
had been obtained up to a late hour last night.

HOSPITAL ITEMS.
Charles Washburn had his arm naught In a hay
press, at Second street and Columbia avenue, on
Saturday a ft ernoon. The limb - was badly crushed.
'Washburn was removed to the Hpisoopal Hospital.
• A laborer named Tames McCarthy, aged about
44 years, fell between the platform and IL train in
motion, at Egg Harbor. His right shoulder was
dielooatei and he was otherwise severely injured.
Ho was taken to the Pennsylvania, Hospital, where
his arm was put In place. The extent of his bruises,
some of which, it le feared, are internal, Is un
known.
Thomas Johnson aged 26 years, had one of his
anus broken and his head injured, on Saturday, on
a new tug at Laurel street-wharf. It seem that he
Was engaged with others in heisting the jib-boom,
when the spar upended and knocked him over
board, His injuries are not considered dangerous.
He was received Into the Pennsylvania Hospital,
Thos. Dull suffered a compound fracture of the left
thigh, and had his left leg broken in two places, on
Saturday. afternoon. The untbrtnnate man was
riding, in company with a friend, ow the Darby road,
near the Blue Bell tavern, whets another wagon
came in contact with their vehicle, throwing Dull
out and badly injoritarthe horse. He was removed.'

ATTEMPTED SUICIDE OF A RILBET,DEIMTER.
'Anthony Rutledge,aged forty-seven years, a de
serter from the flth Virginia Rebel Regiment, at
tempted to commit Suicide, by drowning,,on.fttur
day. He leaped into the river opposite the . Union
Volunteer Refreshment Saloon, but was reamed by
a boatman on themherf, and was taken care- of at
the saloon. He has been very melancholy for
some time. having left a wife and eight children in
Washington county, Va. There are a number of
Southern deserters now stopping at the Refresh
ment Saloons.
DROVITIED,
Diary Ann Mocker, aged 7 years, fell overboard
at Ohrtstian-street wharf on. Saturday afternoon
and was drowned, Her body Was removed.
