Company, located In the Ontonagon distriat:of Lake
Superior. The writer says they bare found a
remarkably wide belt of heavy barrel and rich

resolutions, on motion of Sheriff John Thompson, were

for the purpose of encouraging enlistments.
Resolved, Thai each ward bo requested to elect three
delegates to a General Convention, whom' duty it shall
be to sem intend the general interests of the wards, to
promote nutty in their action, and to adopt such meta
tures as in theirjudgment shall he best adapted to all
the quota of the city under any future call of the Praia •
dent.
Resolved, That the officers of this meeting be request
