Heermac, Profeuor of Materia Memo* at the Homoeopathic College In this city. The lecturer, Alter ah owing how the hand proved man’s superior lank, proceeded to describe the individual charac teristics of the mind, as indicated by the hand. The form oi the whole hand, of the fingers, of the sails, the texture of the akin, or the muscular and other developments of the organ, are all brought to .bear ondhis important atudy, and concur in fixing the types. Dr. H. thus showed three typee, corres ponding to the three faculties of the mind: Judg ment, Sensibility, and Imagination, models fully illustrating these ideas were shown, and seme vary useful hints were thrown out in order to make the atudy applicable to the improvement of character in youth.
