There is no quotable change in Flour, but the market
is yery dull, the demand both for export and home nse
being limited. Sales are mostly to supply the trade at #5
for superfine, $h.26®b.50 for extras, #5.37% @5.75 for
family, and 5607 V bbl for fancy brands, as to quality.
The i cceipts and stocks continue light. Bye Flour is
scarce and selling in a small way at #3.37% ®3.50 4? bbl,
Cora Meal is wanted, and Pennsylvania is worth $3

Wiibat.—Tlio receipts and sales are light, and tlis
market firm at folly former rates. About 4 to 5,0C0
bushels have been taken at 130®135c for fair to prime
red, the latter fox new Southern, and 140® 150 c for white.
Bye iB in demand, and old Pennsylvania is worth 800.
A email lot of new Southern brought 72c.. Corn is un
changed, and 3.000 bushels sold at 64c for yellow and 650

Philadelphia Cattle market, August 4.
The receipts of Beef* Cattle are larger than usual this
week, reaching about 1,809 head. The market continues
yery dull, and prices are fuily 25c the 100 lbs lower than
last quoted, ranging at from #7 to #8 VlOO fim for poor
and ordinary Western, and $8@8.50 for good Western
and Uheßter county cattle. First quality Fat dteers
would bring muoh better prices, but they ore very scarce,
most of the stock on sale being of ordinary and poor
quality. ' .
At the close the market was still on the declino, and
lower price 3 were accepted, the weather boing very
warm to-d ay. (The receipts were larger than the demand,
and 4®500 head will be left over. The stock on sale are

shall be put into practical operation; and any act or
thing which in said act is required to be done on or be*,

dates of the first days of July and August, 1862, shall be
