COUNTERFEIT NOTES. -- On Tuesday
evening, Officers Creighton and Montgomery arrested,
on the Ridge avenue, two mon who were drunk and dis
orderly, and who gave the names of Thomas Worthington,
alias William Meehan, and John Taylor, alias John
O'Neill. On searching the prisoners four counterfeit
nolee, on the Bank of America, Now York,
were found on the person of Worthington. As a number
of similar notes had been Dewed in different parts of the
city, on Monday, the two men were held, by. Alderman
Beitler, for a further hearing at two o'clock to-morrow.

Calcutta, April 3.=—The Aramingo, Gamin, bound to N
York, with a general cargo, principally saltpetre, was
aground near Finish Point; on floating, she came into
Collision With the Powerful (steamtug), that had been
towing her, doing considerablo damage to both. Tho
Aramingo bas put back, and is row off town under re
pairs. She makes no water. The divera report the metal
on her bottom in good condition. Another report states
that she mild have to discharge and be docked.

hundred and twenty dollars principal, and eighteen dol
lars moorages of a certain annual ground rent, reserved:
out of all that certain lot or piece of ground, situate on
the east 'tido of Delavntre Fourth street, between Red
wood and Marshall streets, in the late District of South
wark, in the county of Philadelphia, now &mond Ward
of the city of Philadelphia, at the distance of thirty-three
feet southward from the south side 'of said Redwood
stieet, containing in front or breadth on said Fourth
street sixteen feet, and extending that width eastward be- .
tween parallel lines at light angles to said Fourth Street
seventy-two feet. Bounded on the north partly by ground
granted to Martha Ely on ground rent, and partly by the
bead of a three feet wide alley, which runs from the north
line of said premises northirard into and at right angles
with said Redwood street; on' the oast by ground of
Christopher and John Fallon; on the south by ground
granted to Samuel S. Cavin on ground rent ;• and on the
west by Fourth street aforesaid. Which sums have been
paid Into Court ha pursnanco of an order made upon the
petition of Philip Powell, tinder the provisions of an act
of Aseembly, entitled an "Act in relation . to Ground
Rents rind Judgments in Philadelphia County," praying
that John Fallon and P. Pemberton Morris, Owners of

Mrs. hi. G. Brown : Dear Madam: I have reason to
thank God for calling my attention to a preparation made
by you, called POOR RICHARD'S EYE- WAT ER,
which, through the blessing of God, was the means of resto
ring my only daughter's eye to perfect souudn-es. I firmly
believe that If it bad not been for POOR ROMA. RD'S
EYE WATER, she would have lost her eye, and per
haps her life, as the inflammation wee spreading over
her face, and causing her great rain. She had lost her
appetite. We tried various doctors and remedial, but
her eye was still getting worse, a id the doctor said that
be would have to operate nod blister, but, as I never like
operations on the eye, I did not consent. That day I
went to the Depot, No. 410 Arch street, and got a bottle
of the Eye-Water, and in thirty. slx hours from first ap
plied her eye was well, and the Heals that was growlog
