THE MONEY MARKET.
PIIILADRLPMA, October 21, 12361.
State fives were a fraction lower today, but City sixes
nutintained the quotations of Saturday. Pennsylvania
Railroad shares advanced from 37% to 37%, dividend off.
Norristown Railroad stock sold at 45%, Harrisburg Rail
road at 51%, Camden and Amboy Railroad at 113%, and
Reading Railroad Mock at 17N.

The New York Evening Post of to-day says
The stock market opened with a good appearance, mat
prices recovered per cent, from the lowest quotations
of 2.,,tm-tu r afternoon. At the close, however, there is
considerable weakness, with renewed pressure to sell.
The Seward-Lyons correspondence has produced a
feeling of uneasiness in some quarters. Under ordinary
circumstances it would have attracted little attention,
but Mr. Seward's letter of Thursday in regard to the
coast defences of the country placed the public mind in
a condition to magnify every unfavorable conjecture.
'ew York Central commenced at 77; f ®77,7j, and
finally dosed at 71%07734. Erie dome at 11.1,f_
Dailh 6loCiis are a little lower. Hales of American
Excbange at 84j and 84. Commerce was offered at 83X.
Missouris close with sales at 44, Teunossees at 42
e 4.
The money market is moderately active and fall rates
are paid ou call. Six per cent. is the rate with first-class
tiorrox ere, though we hear of considerable business at
634 or 7 per cent.
Tie exchange on London remains almost stationary at
107 N eslo7-K. some or the leading drawere are nitwit-
Ittie to tot under 109.
The weekly bank statement shows an increase of $l,-
143,275 in specie, and a decrease of $4,490,475 in loans.
The deposits are down $2,735,424.
The specie now foots up $42,282,881—the loans $131,-
828,438.
Mr. Cisco reimburses the banks to-day a further sum
of $1,000,000, on Recount of sales of the national loan.

The Flour market it inactive, but very firm to-day;
sales include 2e300 bble superfine at ei.oo, 200 bbls ex.
tra at 0.76; 1,000 tsble good Ohio do at the same rate, to
arrive; 1,000 bbls Western family on private terms; and
600 bbls Pennsylvania do at $6 41iy bbl. Sales to the
trade are to a fair extent at from the above rates for su
perfine and extras, to $4.50,07.50 for fancy brands, as
lu qualit,-. Rye rtour is scarce and in demand, at $3.15.
Corn Neal is held at $2.81 VY bbl for Pennsylvania,
and rather quiet.
WHEAT is in good demand, and bringing rather better
prices to-day; abort 12,000 bushels sold at 124®132c for
common to pnme Pennsylvania red; 150 s 13;,c for South
ern do i and isee - isoc for white; the latter for choice
Southern. Rye Is scarce cud wanted t at. I - 0c for Penn
ey lvarda. Corn is firm, with further sales of 4,000 bush
els of yellow at 65r,in store and afloat. Oats are rather
better; about 5,00 bushels sold at 36i 3S3ic for South
ern ; the latter afloat; and .18*39e for Pennsylvania.
BARE is steady, with small sales of first No. 1 Quercit
rot: at $21'.50 41 3 ` ton.
Corros.—Rolders are firmer in their demands, but
there is not much doing in the way of ~ a les.
GROCERIES AND PRovlslows.—'nlere is very little
movement to note in the markets, and no chaose is
tither.
SEEDS are quiet; small sales of Clover hare been made
st .94.250.4.50, and 250 bushels Timothy at $1.87),
bushel. Flaxseed is very scarce.
Wai2ar isin good demand, and prices are looking up;
about 4(10 bbls sold at 2134 c for dark, and 22ea22ge for
bright packages; and drudge at 21e to
Philadelphia Cattle Market.
The receipts of Beef cattle have fallen off, this week,
reaching about 1,700 head. The market continuesdull,
but prices are rather better. The following are the par.

United States of America, bath decreed all persons in
general who have, or pretend, to have any right, title, or
interest in the Schooner HARRIET RYAN, whereof
WILLIAM NIXON is Master, • her tackle, anon.
ref, and fuintture t and The goods, wares, and pleroboa,
dire laden on board *hereof, castureil as a prize by the
United States Steamer Pawnee, S.. C. ROWAN,
Commander, to be monished. cited, And called
to judgment, at the 'Rink and place underwrit
ten, and to the effect hereafter expressed (justice
so requiring). Yon aro therefore charged, and strictly
enjoined and commanded, that you omit not, but that by
publishing these presents in at least two of the daily
newspapers printed and published in the City of riffle,
deloida, and In the Legal iniettiracer, you d 0 monish
and cite, or cause to be montshed and cited, peremptorily,
all persons in general who have, or pretend to have any
right, title, or interest in the said Schooner HARRIET
RYAN, her tackle, apparel, and furniture, and the goods,
wares, and merchandise laden thereon, to appear before
the Honorable JOHN CADWALADER, the Judge of the
said Court, at the DISTRICT COURT ROOM, in the
City of Philadelphia, on the TWENTIETH DAY after
publication of these presents, if it be a Court day, or else
on the next Court day following, between the usual hours
of hearing causes, then and there to show, or allege, in
due form of law, a reasonable and lawful excuse, if any
they have, why the said Schooner HARRIET RYAN,
her tackle, apparel, and furniturefiiiind the said
goods, wares, and merchandise, laden thereon,
should not be pronounced to belong, at the time of
the capture of the same, to the enemies of the United
Mates, and as goods of their enemies or otherwise, liable
and subject to condemnation, to be adjudged and con
demned as good and lawful prizes; and further to do and
receive in this behalf as to justice shall appertain. And
that you duly intimate, or cause to he intimated, unto all
persons aforesaid, generally, (to whom by the tenor of
these presents it is also intimated,) that if they shall not
appear at the time and place above mentioned, or appear
and shall not show a reasonable and lawful cause to the
contrary, then said District Court doth Intend and will
proceed to adjudication on the said Capture, and may pro
nounce that the said Schooner HARRIET RYAN, her
tackle, apparel, and furniture, and the goods, wares, and
merchandise laden thereon did belong, at the time of the
capture of the same, to the enemies of the United States
of America, and as goods of their enemies, or otherwise,
liable and subject to confiscation and condemnation, to he
adjudged and condemned as lawful prize, the absence or
rather contumacy of the Peraellii to cited and intimated
in unruise notivithtitandinge and that you duly certify
to the said District Court what you shall do in the pre
mises, together with those presents.

dated the said first day of December, - 1859, recorded in.
Book No. 230, Page 830, confirmatory of and supplemen
tal to said first deed, did convey unto WILLIAM M.
MORRISON, EDWARD BREDELL, and FRANKLIN
A. DICK, the following-deecribed real estate, situated in.
Block-No. 3.26, of the City of St. Louis, and described ea
follows:
First, A Lot or parcel of land fronting two hundred
and eerentywne feet on Washington avenue, by one hun.
Bred and fifty feet in depth, and bounded south by Wash
ington avenue, east by Sixth street, north by the north.
line of the field lot confirmed to Joseph Taillon, and
known as Survey No. 1508, and west by Seventh street.
Second, A certain Lot or piece of ground, situate in
said Block, containing about seventy feet, be the same
more or lege, on Sixth street, by one hundred and thirty
ilye feet deep on Green street, be theaame more or leas;
being Lot known and designated on the plat of the lota
laid out and made an addition to the town of St. Louis,
by William Christy, as Lot No. 87,.bouuded on the weed

whereas, said LINDELL HOTEL COMPANY halt, it is
believed, negotiated, odd, and pledged six hundred and
sixteen of said bowls, amounting to three hundred and
eight thousand dollars, upon an of which the send-an
nual interest, becoming due on the first day of Juno,
eighteen hundred and sixty one, has been doe fee knew

tees as aforesaid, at the request of many of the indi
viduals and corporations holding said bonds ' and in ac
cordance with the provisions of said Deeds, will,
on the twenty-second day of October, eighteen hun
dred end sizty-one, and between the home of eleven
&Clock fn the forenoon and five o'clock in the afternoon
