CITY ITEMS.
TILE QUEEN:WA htR TRA.DE.—From intercourse
pith savant of our principal merchants in the deport=
Inent of China and Queensware, we learn that a fair
trade is now doing in that line. In this branch Phila
delphia has long excelled, mainly on account of her su
perior stocks. Messrs-Boyd & Stroud, No 32 North Fourth
gtreet, one of the leading firms here, hose brought out
their •natial large and elegant assortment this season,
chiefly of their own importation ; and being largely en
gaged in the Penin , ylvania and near trade, their ware
rooms, atlho present time, indicate more activity than
sobbing houses generally, either in this branch or any
lather. 15Terchante, -visiting the city now will hind here an
Immense stock to select from, and at price considerably
below those charged by houses. possessing fewer ailvan-:
Ines than the old and respectable tirm here referred to.
