The burglar opened the door of the house with a
latch key, and went to his room, calling aloud for
help, and swearing to a colored man, William, the
slave of Dr. Fenner, who takes care of the. house,
the house being Dr. Farmer's. The burglar wee

BEADAess is the favorite sign by whioh nature
makes known any deviation whatever from the natural
Mate 6f the brain, and, viewed hi Gus light, it may be
looked on as a safeguard Intended to give notice of dis
ease whiohlnight otherwise escape attention, till too
late to be remedied ; and its indications should never
be nelleeted. • Headaches may be classified under two
;names, vim SYmptomatio and Idiopathic,. Symptomatio
Headache ii exceedingly common, and is the precursor
of a great Moiety of diseases, among whioh are Apo
Mazy. Gout, Ithenmetlim, and all febrile diseases. In
its nervous form it Is eyinpathefie of disease of the
stomach, constituting siellheadache, of hepatic disease
constituting bilious headache, of worms, constipation,
and other disorders of the bowels, as well as renal and
uterine affections. Diseesee of the heart are very fre
quently attended with headaches; anemia and plethora
are also alfecbons.whioh frequently occasion head
ache.
,Idlopathio headaohe is also very common, being
tiguallY distinguished bY the name of nervous' headache,
scoistimee coming on suddenly in a state of BPDa
rontlT,ound health, and prostrating at once the mental
and physical Misrules, and In other instances it comes
on slowly. heralded by depression of spirits or acerbity
of temper. In most instances thepain is in the front
of the head, over one or both eyes, and sometimes pro
voking vomiting under this class may also be named
Neetaliia.
For thegreatnnent of either class of headache the Ce
phalic, Fills have. been found a mire and safe remedy,
relieving the most acute rains in a few minutes, and,
by its subtle power, eradicating the diseases of which
headache is tbe unerring index.
Bricisst.—Biamus wants you to send her a box of Ce
phalio Glue ; no. a bottle of Prepared Pille—but I'm
thinking that's not just it neither; but perhaps ye'll be
either knowing whet it ie. Ye lee elie'e nigh dead and
gone with the Blok Headaobe, and wants some more of
that name my relaived her before.
Drys/in.—Yon mutt mean Spalding's Cephalic

No one of the " many film fienb in heir to" is so pre
valent, so little understood, and so much neglected as
Costavenesi, often originating in oarelossnese, or se
dentary habits. It Is regarded an a slight disorder, of
too little oceiseinenoe to exalts anxiety, while in reali
ty it is the precursor and companion of many of the
moat fatal and dangeroun diseases, and unless early
eradicated, it:will'bring the sufferer to an untimely
grave. Among tho lighter evils of which Costiveness
is the usual attendant are Headache. Colic, Rheuma
tism, Foul 'Breath, Plies, and. others of like nature.
while a long train of frightful diseases, such as Malig
nant Fevers, Abeesser, Dysentery. Diarrheas, Driven
ilia, Apoplexy, Epilepsy, Paralysis, Hysteria. Hypo
ohondrituan. Melanoholy, and Insanity, first indicate
heir presence in the system by this alarming symptom.
Not unfreanently the diseases named originate in Con
stipation, but take on an independent exudenoe unities
the cause is eradicated in an early stage. Prom all
these considerations, it follows that the dlnorder should
receive immediate attention whenever it ociours, and
no person should neglect to get a box of Cephalic Pills
on the first appearance of the complaint, as their time
ly use will expel the insidious approaches of disease,
and destroy thin dangerous fee to human life.
Physiciaw.—Well, Mrs. hum how is that headache ?

thus making an aggregate of twenty million, of dollars

Having made his Glue a household word, he now pro

fir o►sa 140ITSICINT, and the mental oare and anx
iety incident to close attention to business or study, are
among the nurnerousreauses of IVervous Headache. The
disorderedstate of mind and body incident to this dis
tressing complaint. is a Tatal biow to all energy and am
bition. Sufferers by this disorder can always obtain
speedy rebel from these distressing attacks by axing
one of the Cephalic, Pills whenever the symptoms ap
pear. It quiets the overtaaked brain, and soothes the
strained and jarring nerves, and relaxes the tension of
the stomach which always accompanies and aggravates
the disordered condition of the brain.

all the great medical discoveries of this age may be
considered the system of vamlnation for protection
from Small Fox, the Cephafie PIS ter relief of Head
