be made in'llonolulu. It is said that during the
last three years there has been a steady decline in
the whaling boatmen, from which the greatevpart
of the trade of the islands has been derived. The
whtieships now visiting the islands are few, and
the catch of oil se poor that each ship now leaves
less than half the moneylormerly distributed.
A MEDAL, says the Sri Journal, to com
memorate the visit of his Royal Highness the
Prince of Wales to Canada, has been struck by
Mr. Wyon, the eminent medalist, of Regent street,
London.. is a work of much merit, - although
the material used is simple. The • portrait of the
Prince is at once a good likeness, and excellent as
a production of art.

The ',Bonbon of invalids, physicians, clergymen,

solicited to the merits of this &minimal- preparation

is identical in its composition with the Hematie Glo

the blood show a deficiency of the red globules. ItudaY
complexion and a rosy tint of the skin. is always tndioa
tiro of health; while a pale, wax-like skin and counte
nance—which evinces a deficiency of the red globe tee—
accompanies a diseased organism. Pecpmatione of
lron have been given for the purpose of supplying the
red globules, but we contend that Iron alone, Sulphuratone,
alone, or Phosphorous c h ic, will not meet the deficiency
in every case, but that a judicious combination of all
these elemonta tenacsmsaiy to restore the blood to its
normal. standard. This point, never before attained,
has been reached in the Blood Food. and its discovery
ranks an one of the most smentifio and important of the
age. Its effects in

are to soften the cough, brace the nerves:, strengthen
the system, allay the prostrating night sweats, mamma

pleasant to the mete, it is revivifying, exhilarating,
and strengthening to the vital powers. It also re

system invulnerable to attacks of disease. It is the
only preparation ever offered to the world in a
popular form, so as to be within the reach of all.

entirely of vegetables, and those thoroughly emu

These Springs ere situated in the valley of the

IDs' The principal Acid Springn are three in number ;
besides these there aro six others. They aro all located

qualities of the waters are fully shown in the sutuoinad
testimonials. They contain a very large amount of Bud-

Hundreds of cases of disease, especially those result

Opinions of medical nod scientific gentlemen are given
in the circulars. The following eminent gentlemen
speak in strong terms of the medicinal value of these
waters: Prof. k:inteons, T. Itomeyn Beek, M. D., of
