is to result, We trust. in a Republican triumph through
the choice of LINCOLN and HAAT LIN, we shall give
our utmost energies, and all possible space, to seoure
that remit. Other topics emit wait, or be reduced to
the narrowest dimensions, until the eventful 6th of
November. After that time, but more etipeohtlly after
the let of next January, we shall 60 able to forge po
litical discussion almost e ntirely, for months if not for
)earn, and devote nearly all our columns to subjects of
less intense, but more abiding interest. Among these
we mean to pay attention to
L EDIJOATION.—The whole eubject of Education,
both Popular and General, will be dismissed in our
columns throughout the year 1661, nod we hope to en
list in that discussion some of the profoundest thinkers
and the ablest instructors in our country. It is at once
our hope and our resolve that the cause of Education
shall receive an impetus from the exertions of THE
TRIBUN E in its bebalf during the year 1861.
11. AGRICULTURE,—We have been compelled to
restrict our elucidations of this great interest through
out MO, and shall endeavor to atone therefor to 1861.

Whatever discovery. deduction, demonstration s cal
culated to render the reward of labor devoted to culti
vation more ample or more certain, shall receive
prompt and full attention.
111. MANUFACTURES. &c.—We hail every inven
t:one,' enterprise whereby A monition Capital and Labor
are attraoted to and advantageously emp'orecl in any
department of Manufacturing or Mechanical industry
as a real contribution to the Public Weal. insuring
=Men. steadier. more covenient. more remunerating
markets to the Fanner, with fuller employment and
better wages to the Laborer. The Prognosis of Mining,
Iron-making. Steel making, Cloth-weaving, &0.,
in our country and the world, shall he watched and re
ported by its with an earnest and active sympathy.
IV. FOREIGN A FFAIRB.--We employ the beet con
respondoniu in London, Paris. Turin, Berlin, and other
lumpier eatetaln, to transmit'us early and accurate
ady ices of the great changes there silently but certain
ly preparing. In spite of the pressure of DOlnestiO Poli
