An attempt has been made to deceive the public, by
persons offering what they call "CONGRESS WATER
from Fountain; and at the price of six (01 cents per
plass. The wholesale price of the genuine Congress Wa
ter, at New York. being about 7.ki cents per slam. the im
position of pretending to sell at retail at less than coat,
and without allowance for freight, cartage, or breakage,
is apparent; but' their probable course has been to
empty one bottle of genuine Congress Water into a
Fountain filled with their trash, and thereby ohristening
its 104 contents.
