It remains longest in effect.
It costs fifty cents for a half pint bottle.
EjT Msbsrb. J. Boasxtr A Oo.: I cannot refuse to'
state the salutary effect in mj own aggravated ease of
your excellent Hair Oil—(Cocoaine.)
For many months my hair had been falling off, until
I was fearful of losing it entirely. The skin upon toy
head became gradually inord and more inflamed, so that
I could hot touch it without pain. 1 his Irritated con
dition I attributed to the use of various advertised hair
washes, which I have slnoe boen told oontaln camphene
spirit. .
By the advice of my physiolan, to whom you bad
shown your process of purifying the Oil, I commenced
Its use the last week in June. The first tpfcllfeation al
layed the itehffig and irritation; in three or four days
the fedness and tenderness disappeared—the hair ceased
to fall, and I hare now a thick growth of new hair.
• I trust that others, similarly afflicted, will be in*
duced to try the same remedy.
B7* A single application renders the hair (no matter
how stiff and dry) soft and glossy for several days. It
Is conoeded by all who have used it to be the best and

FROM THE GERMAN,

TniB book, although written in Germaoy, is harao*
terlted by that rich and exuberant fancy pecali&r to the
Oriental mind, and is deserving a place beside that
wfrld-renowned book—
ARABIAN NIGHTS’ ENTERTAINMENT.
Although the stories are intended for the young, they
poeites a charm and originality which caonofc fall to
interest and delight mature minds. The sale of the

15,000 COPIES
of ithavfag been sold the first year of Its publication,
and the favor with which it has been received indicates
that the sale In this country will equal, if it does not
exceed, even that number. We give below a very few
selections from numerous encomiums ot the press in all
parts of the country. It will be seen by these that this
bock is not simply attractive on aeoount of the fascina
ting Interest which the stories possess, but they all in
cubate a moral, pertinent and profitable to both young
ant'old.
OPINIONS OP THE PRESS.
The stories are happily oonceived, abounding with
guipiislng incidents, which keep the attention pleas
antly engaged from beginning to end. In nearly all of

With the Huguenots, Mr. Uliman hopes to establish
his claims upon the ucdiridedpstronage of the ealfght
eaed and music-laving citiMaa of Philadelphia, F«ui
liar with what has been done before in ibis dty, he
boldly challenges comparison with any similar onder
-takiog. He means to prodnce “ Grand Opera** as per
feet as it can be possibly given, and he aoes not doubt
that the public will award him the merit of having fid*
filled his promise to the utmost of bis ability.
He once more calls upon the public and the press for
the most extensive support and patronage. A disap
pointment in this respect would be ruinous to him, and
dltconrage him from-continuing his exertions, as he
has done. The risk attending any operatic enterprise
is proverbial. This risk is greater with him than with
any other manager, for none had the courage to, make
each numerous and great engagements, ana to transfer
such an immense establishment from one city to the
other. He is happy to say that the prospects thus far
are brilliant beyond expectation.
