40 SOMETHING PEW.—GAS BUR
NING COOS STOVE.—I would respectfully call
the attention of the public to one of the greatest
improvements ever introduced in Cooking Stoves
and Rouges—the burning of the gas arising from the
coal,hy which means fa cared 60 per cent. itt fuel and
also more interim heat thrown to the bottem of the
oven. We effect the burning of the gases by means of a
hollow oentropleoo, perforated on the under side, which
admits the air in a, hosted state to mingle with the
gases, thus aiding its combustion, and causing a Came
to peso around the oven eiinal to a Wood tire. This im
provement also preservee the centre piece from sinking
down on the fire, thereby saving the expense of repairs.
