Queen arrived in the river on Briday, direct from To
ronto, Lake Ontario, being the Bret Venda which has
made the voyage to Olyde from that Canadian port. She
had on board a cargo of flour and grain for Glasgow,
whither she proceeded.
June 28,-At the wreck of the steamship New York
three crews ef divans were at work last week, and about
one-half of the box and bale' goods have been saved.
Should the weather prove favorable, tt was expected
that the whole of this portion of the cargo would be got
.out in three days more: The ship still held together,
and tenders for uprighting and taking her oil have been
given lute the underwrltere.

The progress in the case appears to us to be somewhat
tardy, as there is a British subject, one of the Gallant's
crow, In Shanghae, who has yet to be taken into the
city to identify the prlsonere. Much credit to due to
the Ohineee authorities for their exertions in causing
the appramosion of the culprits
