VEYS, City Building, NIPPLE Street, below Walnut,

by the Chief Engineer and Surveyor of the City of Phila
delphia, each plan cad estimate to bear sprit:ate mark,
and be accompanied by a mated communication having
a corresponding mark thereon, so that the name of the
designer. may not be known until the plan moat ap
moved shall have been selected.
Seettoit 3. That alt mole plans anti estunatee null,
when received, become the property of the City of Phila•
delphis, and Khali be presented within two months after
the passage of this ordioance, when it :Mall be the duty
of the Chief Engineer and Surveyor, by and with the
advice of the Committee on Surveys and Regulations,
to invite a cominlealon consisting of three civil engi
neers, who, in conjunction with the Chief Engineer and
Surveyor of the City, *hall examine and decide upon the
relative inerite and applicability of the plans presented,
to the Bridge site proposed, and report to Councils the
number of plans received, the names of the designers,
and the character and estimated cost of the three plans
by them preferred.
Seevitni 4. It shall be the duty of the Chief Commis
sioner of Righwaye upon a certificate presented and
eigned by the Chief' Engineer and Surveyor, to issue
warrants in payment of the coat of the atoresaid miner
tliements, and also in favor of those perilous who may
have presented the three plane preferred by said com

to the seamed, 8250, and to the third $100; said warrants
to be charged to Item No. 19 of appropriation made to
