still heavy. Thera was some inquiry this morning for
Ohio Flour, and we heard on ’Ohango of sales of 1,700
bbls super, a part of which was bought for shipment to
Liverpool, atss,so bbl. There was nothing done in
Howard Street super. It could, however, have beeu
bought readily at ss.62#,and it waft stated that there
were some parties wiUlug to soil at $5.60 Uhl; these fig
ures show a decline of 22# to 25 cte on the price obtained
yesterday for this description. There was some inquiry
for City Mills Flour, ana we heard ot sales of some 600
this at $5.62# on time, it could have been bought
very readily for cash at $5.60 bbl. Extra Flour is
quite dull. We quote Ohio/ Extra at $0.25«r56.60, the
latter figuro being, for very choice brands. Howard st.
do at S6.GO, and common shipping bands Olty Mills do
at $0.25<t56.76 per bbl. Rye Elour is scarce and wanted,
and we quote it firm at $5,25 bbl. We quote Corn
Meal as Rforo at $4.25 for City Mills, and $3.70 ty bbl
for Country. , ,
GaiiN.—The receipts of Grain this morning were
comparatively light, the aggregate of the Offerings at
the Com Exchange being uliUlc less than 40,000 bushels.
Tho market for it was dull, and prices wore a shade
lower. Reds sold at lOOallOc, for tough, 1150125 c,
for fair to prime, and whites brought 105ttll6c for
tongh lots, 120«125c, for lots slightly out of condi
tion, 130a140c, for good to prime dry parcois.and a lot
of 700 .bushels. Tory-choice white suitable for family
Elour,. brought 148 c. Com was in better demand, but
prices were lower. White sold at 02a07c, and yellow at
bushel. The’receipts to-day were about 16,000
bushels, mest'of which changed hands at the above
rates. Wo quote Rye to-day at 85»90c for Maryland,
and Ssc for Pennsylvania. There were some 2,000
bushels at market this morning, but only ono or two
small lota wore sold. Oats were steady to-day at yester
day’s figures. There were sales on Chonge of somo
3.600 bushels at 20e320 for Virginia and Maryland, and
34cr37c for Pennsylvania Oats.
Sbsds—Grass Seeds are dull. Wo quote Timothy at
$3O 25,. and Clpvorsced at $7.75 4P bushel. We heard of
no sates of importance this morning.

The offer will state the price per ton of 2,240 lbs. for
that delivered, without primage or aoy other extra
charge, and also the rate at which demurrage will be
charged. No other than cargo for the Government to be
received on board.
If the draught of water of the vessel offered makes
any lighterage necessary in luadiug, It will be at the
cost of the tasml ; hut good despatch will be given in
loading; For the delivery of the coal withiu roach of
the ship’s taekel at the ports in China lay days will be
demanded, at tho rate of one fair-weather working day
for every 30 tons of coal.
Tho vessel named must stand a No. 1, and pass the
usual inspection by such officers as may to appoint*! by
the commandant of the yard whore the ship may bo;
and If not offered for inspection within three days after
a notice baa been given, the department will make such
other arrangements as will best subserve the public in
terest. The vesaet must be in Philadelphia kud ready
to load within ten days after she has, passed iuspectiou,
and the notice of acceptance giveu.
Wind and weather permitting, the vessel will sail
within five days after being loaded and the bills of
lading signed ; otherwise there will be deducted from the
freight money, for each and every day’s delay In sailing
beyond the five days named, a sum equal to the amount
demanded per day for demurrage.
Payment will be made within thirty days after the
presentation of receipts In triplicate of the delivery of
the coal, by any navy agent In tho United States that
the bidder may select, who will bo designated in the
