The Frenchman
WHO refufed to give up a STOLEN
POINTER DOG when demanded of
him on YVednefday morning last about seven
o'clock, by the P-rvant of the owner, at the
corner of Arch and Sixth streets, is defirsd
to fend him to the office of this Gazette, or di
ligent search will be made after him, and he
will he prcfecuted as the thief. The Dcig is
white, excepting a yellow spot on his back, one
yel ow ear, arid two or three yellow, spots on
his forehead—tbe other e:r is fprckled—he is
v»ry poor a«:l hip shot. An handsome reward
will be given tor the dog, and Five Dollars on
conviction of the thief. The Frenchman is a
tall thin man, of a complexion very dark, and
dressed in black clothes ( excepting a striped blue
and wh'te gingham coatee) —He wasfeen with
the dog in company with a short fat man, in
Race near Seventh ftrcet, on Suaday afternoon
last.
