He has been lately seen in Lancufter, and is pro
bably with his triends, who live about 4 miles
from that place.
The above reward will be given and all eipen
ces paid, on deliverioghitp to any officer in the
service of the United Aates, or lodging him in

has a good suit of hair. Had on, when he
went away, a good beaver hat, a short light
greefi cloth coat, edged with yellow, and yel
low gi|t buttons—a light buff caflimer, double
brealied waiftcdat, a pair of dark olive colour
ed thickfett pantaloons—a white linen ihirt,
white ribhed cotton stockings, and a good pair
of (hoes with firings. He took with him a
dark blue coat, a pair of olive calhmer panta
loons, and a light corduroy pair of breeches ;
also a gold or pinchbeck watch, with a steel
chain. He is fon4 of fpiritous liquors, is inso
lent, has a ftnpid look, and chews tobacco.—
He was bred in Charles county, Maryland, and
purchafcd of col. John Thomas by gen. Ridge
ley. Whoever apprehends said negro, and se
cures him in any jail so that the owner may
get him again, (hall receive the above reward,

viz a negro woman named Pat, a washer-wo
man and cook, oi about fifty twe years of age—
tall and well shaped, of a black complexion. She
has bad Kceth, ihofe of her under jaw are much
difcolourc.l and proje<sl a good deal. She h-'S a
full head of wooly hair—a very cross forbidding
countenance, is very impertinent, and hughs and
talks loud. Pa: was born in South-Carolina, and
Speaks bad EngliOi, with the negro diale&. She
has on the jpper part of her bread, two pretty
large lumps of flefli refembhng Wens, or rather
with the appearance of the marks of a burn. She
carried away with her several changes of cloathf,
and gowns of white muslin, and of coloured and
figured printed cottons falhiorobly made up. Sh«
also carried away with her,
CLARA her daughter—a very ftont, robufli
strong made girl, of a lhort {lature, and rou-d
(houldered—appearing to bo about 14 years of
age. Clara has large flaring ey»«, a flat nose, an
oval flat face, her under jaw proje<9ing a little,
and good teeth. She it very artliil and impu
dent, has a great fluency of speech, uses good lan
guage, and has been taught to read,—She has the
appearance of ring worm* on her left cheek and
chin ; the Ikin in spots appearing much paler than
the reft of her complexion, which is much lighter
than her mother's—Her hair is (hort and wooly.
She wore a pink grounded printed cotton with a
small black figure, with new fore parts.

une, DICK and AMELIA. Dick, or a 9 he has
jately called himself, Richard Weaver, is a houfe
ervant,—he isabcut J feet 7 inches high, rather
'mall made, is about 1; years old, of a gjod
fniooth, black complexion—has a flat nose, with
very large open nostrils. "He carried his- hrad
and neck as if he were ftiffin the neck and shoul
ders, which are high and tolerably square, and his
neck fliort—his li gs are straight but small and
illy made, with scarce ary calf. He has had bad
teeth, is left handed, and exctedingly awkward
he has a full head of wooly hair, which he phits
and dresses to the best advantage. His voi<-« is
small, his speech commoly mild and flow, and his
manners appear extremely simple, but he is at
bottom an artful knave, and when spoken to is
very apt to be paflionate and impertinent. Dick
is a native of South-Carolina, and speaks bad
English—he seduced and carried away with him
Amelia, who he called his wife. •
Amelia is a very complete, well inflruded la
dies maid, much below the common flatuie and
of a lma 11 make—her complexion is that of a dark
mulatto or meflizoe, nearly resembling that ef the
Lascars of India, with black curling hair, and a
very low forehead—her right eye has a great
weakuefs, owing to the small pox in her infancy
under her «yes very black—a flat, face, flat broad
nose, with scarce any rising at the bridge; a large
mouth, with thick lips, and good strong teeth.
On the nape of her neck the has the mark* of a
Seten. Drefics with taste, and imitates the French

She took with her a variety ot clothes, fafhion
ablymade—fhehasfor mote than two years pad
been liable to fits, which at times give her a wild
nefsin her eyes—her health is generally delicate—

about 11 years of age —(he can dress hair, clear
(larch, has a tafle for millinary and maritua-ma
king; and as (lie is very ingenious, can turn her
hand to any thing arid may probably offer herfclf
to some milliner or mantua maker as a work
woman. As Amelia has heretofore been a great
favourite of a very indulgent miflrefs, and 'tis
believed has bean led away by the persuasion of
he r paramour Dick, if foe will return to mt, fke
will fee forgiven and treated with the fame ten«

FIFTY DOLLARS Keward for each will be
paid for the delivery of Pat and Clara to the
fubferiber, or to any goal in the Umted'Statej, so

Dollars each for Dick and Amelia, dh the like
delivery. The fubferiber warns all matter
of vcffeU, from taking these Runaway servants
from the United States, and requests such
of his friends and acquaintance as it may notfuit

hear of either of the fugitives, to the fubferiber

on and took with him a drab coloured broad clolh
coat, almost new, a sailors jacket and pantaloons'
printed fancy cord, a fwanfdown striped under

ditto striped border, a blue Perlian under jacket

The said Francis James was born at or near
Kidwelly, in the county of Carmarthen, and if
living, is about the age of thirty-four years, and
about the year 1779> w * ,a foremaft man on board
the Milford, a merchant Ihip, belonging to the
port of Bristol, and failed tor Jamaica in Septem
ber, 1780, afterwards he returned to Bristol,
anJ in November, 1781, was preflcd in Kiag
road, Bristol, and sent oh board the king's frigate
called th? Diomcde, in whkh he failed from Ply
mouth »n a cruise, and on board of which he af
terwards became a quarter gunner, and deserted
the said Ihip at Charleilon Bar in North-Americ>
in September 1781.
