claims and appeals appointed by the Pre.i
dent of the United States is to embaric
immediately for London, and that he is au
thorized to bindthe United the
direction of Mr. Jay, for the costs and da
tnagEs, attending tke profeeution of the
claims of American citizens ; that the uecei
fary couufei will be engaged on the part o,
the United States, and, that it the parties
Vill obtain copies, of the proceedings ot tbc
Cou.'ts on their refpcJlive cases, the ex
peafes of the records will be reimbursed by
the United Slates,
Tfcey are of opinion that measures
j ought to be immediately taken for obtain
! ing authenticated copies of such records and
proceedings in all cases wheft they have
njt already been preserved, and will under
take to obtain them for all such of their
fellow-citizens as Hi all within 20 days from
this date furnifli the names of the veflels
and mailers ; the ports or places where
tried or condemned, with such other infor
