the City of Walhington—-Two beautiful dc
figns are already fele fted for the entire frbnu
on two of the public squares ; from these
drawings, It is proposed to erc& twd centre
and tour corner buildings, as soon as poiiible
after this Lottery is fold, and to convey them
when complete, to the fortunate adventurers,
in the manner described in the scheme for
the Hotel Lottery. A nett dedu&ion of five
per cent, will be made to defray rhe neces
sary expences of printing, &c. and the sur
plus will be made a part ot the fund intended
for Uje National University, to be ere&ed
within the City of Wafhingttm.
The drawing will commeoce as soon
as the Tickets are fold, or at all events on
Monday, the 22nd of December next: The
money prires wiH be payable in thirty <lays
after it is finifhed, and any prizes for which
fortunate numbers ate not produced within
twelve months after the drawing U closed are
'o be confideied as-given towards the fond
for the University, it being determined to
fettle the whoVe business in a year from the
ending of the drawing and to take up the
bonds given asfecurity.
The rtal fecurtties given for the payment
of the Prizes, are held bythe Prcfident and
two Dire&or* of the Bank of Columbia, and
are valued at more than half the amount of
the Lottery. The drawing will be under
the management of 24 gentlemen approved
by the commiflionen tor the City of Wash
ington, for the time being, and a&ing on
oath.
