The drawing will commence, under the
infpt&ion of a Committee of the Superin
tendents, as soon as the Tickets are fold, of
which timely notice will be given.
The Superintendants have appointed John
si. Cumming, of Newark, Jacob R. Har
denberg* of N<-w-Brunfwick, and Jonathan
Rhea, of Trenton, as immediate Managers
thereof, who have givea ample security tor
discharging the tfuft reposed in them.
<Pr In order to secure the punfiual pay
ment of the Prizes, the Superintendants of
the Lottery have directed that the Managers
fiiall each enter into bonds in 40,000 dollars,
with four fufficient fecuritirs, to perform their
inftruftions, the substance of which is
I. That whenever either of the Managers
(hall receive the funi of Three Hundred Dol
lars, he shall immdiatcly place the fame in
one of the Banks of New-York or Philadel
phia, to the cieditof the Governor of the
Society, and such at the Superintendants as
live in the city where the monies are placed,
to remain there nntil the Lottery is drawn,
lot the paymnt of the Prizes.
11. The Managers to take fufficient fe
citrity for any Tickets they may tiuft, other
wise ta be refponnble for them.

Lachawarurock. -
A LARGE body of LAND on ttils river
and its waters, is now for fple to Setters on
ly, on moderate terms,and at a long credit.
The foil is remarkably fertile, and nu
merous streams of watcrare iaterfperfed
through the whole country.
The main river flows through one trafl
of about thirty thousand acres, and is with
l»e exception of one obftruftion, naviga
ble to the SufquOliannah.
Spring Brdok Creek, which with its
branches, waters another tract of about
forty/noufand a** fs of good Land, emp
ties itfelf into the Lachawannock, about
twelve miles from the Sufqliehannah.
It affords numerous Mil! feats, & in its
course fcreates largebodies of well water
ed meadow ground. ,
The other t rafts are interfefted bycr»»ks
of co'nfiderable importance.
Several Mills are already erected for the
accommodation of thefettlers.
Roads are cot in different directions, to
wards the most convenient markets.
The county town is not more than 12
mles distant from many parts ol the set
tlement.
The Sufquehannah affords an easy and
fafe navigation to Middleton, from whence
the Canal to Schuylkillextends the com
munication to the city.
Another means of connexion with Phi
ladelphia, is by the D> laware, from which
the distance iufeveral places is aboutthirty
miles.
The proprietors combining theirown in
terest with that of the inhabitants, are dis
posed to erect works of public utility,open
uoads, &c. and in every en miles square, a
tract of one hundred acres is allotted for a
School, and one hundred acres for thefirft
refidfnt clergyman of any denomination of
Christians.

woods. Mr. Enoch S. Lane, living on the

Springfield, containing 2040 1-2 acres, a
bout 13 niile« from Alexandria and 10 from
Wafh'rngton J abounds with finefprings and
meadow ground, and nfaybe seen by apply

mile of Pohick Landing, and within five

containing about 284 acres, in Fairfax
county, about 5 miles from W'aftiingtcm, &
9 from Alexandria, where J. Robinson for
merly lived.
Another parcel of land, within a mile
