terest with that of the inhabitants, are d if

tract of one hundred acres is allotted for a
School, and one hundred acres for thefirft

signs are already fele fled for the entire fronts
on two of the public fqaarcl ; from these
drawings, it is proposed to erefl two centre
and four corner buildings, as soon as poflible
after this Lottery is fold, and to convey them
w r hen complete, to the fortunate adventurers,
in the manner described in the scheme for
the Hotel Lottefy. A rett dedu&ion of five
per cent, will be made to defray The neces
sary expencei of printing, Sic. and the sur
plus will be made a part of the fund intended
for the National University, to be ere&ed
within the City of WafHington.
£3" The drawing Will commence as soon
as the Tickets are fold, or at all events on
Monday, the 2tod of December next: The
money pnr.es will be payable in thirty days
after it is finifhed, and any prizes for which
fortunate numbers are not produced within
twelve months after the drawing is are
to be confideied as given towards the fund
for the University, it being determined to
fettle the whole business in a year from the
ending of the drawing and to take up the
bonds given as fccarity. (
The real securities given for the paymeat
of the Prires, are held by the Piefident and
two D're&ors of the Bank of Columbia, and
are valued at more than half the amount of
the Lottery . The drawing will be under
the management of 24 gentlemen approved
by the eommiflioners for the City of Wash
ington, for the time being, and ading on
oath.
