Obituary.
tMc'ICi'Hii Miner.)
Died, ut the residence of Ellas Ander
son, Smetbport, Pit , April 21st, l;.s2,
August Beugtson, aged 2-i years.
Death is always sad hut the above was
unusually so owing to circumstances
connected therewith. In April, l.i:,
two brothers, August and John Beiigt
son came to this country from Sweden.
About the tirt of hut December
f.iiOthef hiother named Severn came
from Sweden and the three (the entire
'amily living, except the father, who is
in (he old country) spent Christmas
together in Smetbport. John and
Heveru i-oon It'll for Dagus Mines, Elk
Co., Pa., where they were employed
as miners. February 17, last, Severn
died there of typhoid fever aged 27
years, his brother John caring for him
during his illness and in so doing con
tracted the descasc. August went
from Smelhport toattend the funeral
of his brother Severn, also cared for
his brother John who died March 27th,
aged lit years. After seeing the grave
close over his brother, knowing his last
relation in this country was dead, Au
gust returned to Smetbport. He was
not well when hearrived here and soon
after was confined to his bed with t lie
same disease of which his brothers died
and after about three weeks tillering
ho di-d as above stated. The funeral
Services were held at the residence of
Mr. Anderson Saturday afternoon and
his remains were interred in Rose Hill
cemetery. Judging from the tears shed
oy the young friend's who gathered
around his cotlin he was highly es
teemed by those who knew him.
Tiiree brothers buried in three mouths
and not a relative to weep beside the.
last. Sad indeed. ''In the midst of
life we are in death."
My daughter had a very weak
back. Peruna cured her. John
