one of the best modes of intellectual enjoy

But this Bystem is expensive, and its benefits
confined to towns more populous and more
opulent than ours. Rev. Dr. Marks has con

man of extensive culture, and world wide
travel. V"e are informed by competent au

and that in point of interest his leoturcs havo
few superiors. Indeed, we can well believe it.

Dr. b. y. vnsiiart'B 1'iue Tree Tar Cordial
We answer
1st. It cures, not by stopping cough, but
by, loosening and assisting nature to throw
off the unhealthy matter collided about the
throat and bronchial tubes, causing irritation
and cough.
2d. Most Throat and Lung Remedies are
composed or anodynes, which allay the cough
for awhile, but by their eonstringinj effects,
the fibers become hardened, end the unhealthy
fluids coagulate and are retained in the sys
tem causing amease beyond tho control of our
muni, eiiiineui ujBiuiunu.
8(1. Ihe Pine Tree Tar Cordial, with its as
sistants, perfectable, because they remove tho
cause of irritation of the mucuous rnembrano

anu throw olt the unhealthy secretions, aud
purify the blood, thus scientifically making
