• The meeting.of the Coal Trade held yesterday,
at the call of Mr. Tucker, was very largely at.
tended, -two-thitds of the entire tonnage being
represented. The chief object of, th meeting
•was to adopt measures to regulate theilipplies or
shipments of Coal to meet, but not precede the
demand. Most effective measures were suggested
and unanimously adopted by written agreement,
which was promptly. entered into and signed by
every Igelitleinan at the meeting. The power
heretofore evil% to Mr. Tucker to regulate the
shipinents, was greatly enlarged and extended.
On this occasion there was perfect and entire
Unanimity—in fact it was the most united and
harminilout meeting ever convened •in the Coal
Begton— mid' they ull united In a memorial
the. Presidents of the two Carrying Conipt7
nia; to extend their aid and eo-operation with the
trade, In securing to the organization a.fair Wei
=and it It'should fail in removing the great evils
-which have grown up and encompass the trade ,
it can then be abandoned,.
Pout RICONOND COAL Miutriv,ldareh "i'ith, MT.—The
demand for Coal is dull—prices have not yet been fully
developed—but it is believed that they will settle - down
to about $3 90 (§k $4 on bawdier White Ash, and $4 . 10
@, $4 25 for Red.. Ash for fresh supplies from the knees.
Some of the old storks on the wharves may be worked
off at a little less, but no contracts for • any quantity of
•Coal will be made at ion rates than those mentioned
above.
Naw, Tots Con . dasiti, March 19, 1857.—The de

cometh every good and'perfec t gift, I am enabled to offer
to the afflicted a permanent. and speedy curs in Con
