,MRS. SCRUGGINS Ani cows.
Mrs. Scruggins has recovered! She has been
quite unwell ever since New Year's day. She
caught an "orful" cold on that day, -while sitting
in the front parlor. It is whispered that she is
rheumatic, but she stoutly denies When the
fat man with green spectacles is within bearing,
she boasts loudly of her activitY. ller private opin

mentary. Spectacles is a nice young man, "only
a little wild." Spectaeles.does own to forty years,
and a slight yheunatism,' and people say—but
never mind what people say. Mrs. Scruggins has
had great experience in huirkeeping, and iu the

"We used to keep a cola when we lived in Cin
