5 EXAMINE FOR-YOURSELVES
On the first page will be found the opinion
of Judge Woodward, in full, at the late ses
sion of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania,
at Pittsburgh, on the Sunday-Liquor Ques
tion.' The law on the subject is there plain
ly and uoeqUivocally expounded, and the
reasons given for it. The decision is right
to the kihrt—noT.avern.keeper or other Li
quor dealer can legally sell spirituouS drinks
of any kind on Sunday, under any pretence,
rhatever. The pleading is on the ground
that Liquor•sellling, is secular business, and
that a License tor a year no more gives the
right , to the holder to sell on the' fitty-iwo
Sundays, than does the hire of a Mechanic
or ordinary. laborer require him to break the
Sabbath, to fulfill his bargain.
