leaving Buffalo, for New York, while pur
chasing their tickets at the office, are banded
a bill of fare, from which they select such ar
ticles as they desire. The orders are imme
diately forwarded by telegraphic communi
cation to the refreshment room at Warsaw,
and numbered tickets are handed to the differ
ent passengers. Upon arriving at Warsaw,
each finds upon the table whose numbers
correspond with the car, the breakfast he or

to understand and represent the views of
the friends of prohinition, it seems to be fit
ting that tv e' should set forth these views
that they may' he understood by Memembersof
our Legislature and our citizens generally :
Therefore, Resolved, That the experience.
of the pasty ear in this, and our observation
in other States, has greatly confirmed our
confidenCe in PROHIBITION as the only.
adequate remedy for the evils of Intemper•

Resoli!ed, That prohibitory' laws. for the
suppression of evil, are founded on divine
authoritt-, and have received the sanction of

givers never licences an evil, but invariably,

Temperance Organ located at Harrisburg, is
of great importance to spreading information
of the action of the friends of prohibition in
different parts of the State, and this Conven
tion do therefore earnestly recommend the
