From this day forth the people shall have the Pare Ocarina Tosessead Sarsaparilla, which shall never sour in the bottle, or in the stomach, and It shalt yet banish from the land all Fernenting, Souring, • Explo ding, Vinegary Sarsaparillas, - now in use. A good Sarsaparilla, pure and genuine, ought to live ; a pdor souring. Sarsaparilla ought to droop and die. The Old Dr's. Sarsaparilla will keep pure and per fect 100 years. Unlike young S. P. Townsend's it improves with age, and never changes, but for the better ; because it Is prepared ori scteatilic principles by a scientific man. The highest knowledge of Chemistry, and the latest discoveries of the Art have all been brought Into requl salon Inthe manufacture of the OLD DR'S:SARSA PARILLA. The Sarsaparilla root, It Is well known to medical men, contains many medicinal properties, 'and some properties which are Inert nr useless, and others, which. if retained in preparing it - for use, pro ducefensestalion and add, which to injurious to the system. Some of the properties of Sarsaparilla are so valuate, that they entirely evaporate and are lost in the -preparation, if they are not preserved by a scientific process, known only to those experienced In its mann. facture. Moreover, these volatile principles, which fly off in vapor, or as an exhalta Gan, under heat, ate the very essential sted"cal propertiel of the root, which give to It all its value. Any liaison can boil or stew the root till they get a dark colored liquid, which is noire from the coloring matter in the root than — finm anything else; they can then strain this insipid or vapid liquid.sweeten with sour molasses, and then call it ..flursapai Ilia Extract or Syrup." But omit Is not the article known as the GENUINE OLD DR. JACOB TOWNSEND'S BAR. _ SAPARILLA. Tills is so prepared, that all the Inert properties of the Sarsaparilla rent are first removed, every thing capable of becoming 'acid or of fermentation, is extract ed and rejected ; then every particle of medical virtue is secured In a pore and enncentrated form; and thus it Is rendered incapable of losing any of its valuable and heating properties.
