TRIOMPIMXT SOFCESS OF
Thompson's Ccimpound Syrup of
Tall wooD alarm s.
Still another remarkable Cure !
Pa., Noe. 20, 1815
About six yearn since, in consequence of the seden
tary nature of my business, I was attacked with severe
'pains in the breast, palpitation of the heart, and short
ness of breath, which were soon followed by a failure .
of appetite, extreme wakefulness at night, and partial
paralyisis °Puy limbs—these symptoms of a deranged
system being frequently attended with spitting of blood.
For about two years I was occasionally thrown into
convulsions. which left me in a miserable state of fee
bleness and began to affect my mind. From time to
time my sufferings were more or less severe, until at
length they increased to such a degree, and the violence
of the symptoms were $0 augmrntna, that for a whole
year I was unable, to attend to my
,business. During
this time I consulted some able physicians and attended
to their prescriptions i but all their skill was unavailing
to procure me relief, and at length they regarded my re
covery as entirely hopeless. In this condition I was
informed of the salutary effects of Thompson's Com
pound Syrup:Of Tar an,d Wood Naptha, in a case some
what similar to mine, and though I had given up all ex
pectations of a recovery of My former health by human
means, yet by being strongly advised to try this medi
cine, I was at length prevailed upon to do so, and I
have may to say, that by the use of six bottles my health
has bee restored, and 1 ant now able to attend to busi
ness'whh as much facility as usual. '

This certifies that I have recommended the use ;:f
wisTAK's BALSAM tIF 'WILD CHERRY for disea
ses of the Lungs. for two year past, and many bottles
to my knowledge have been . used by my, patients, all
with beneficial results. In two; cases where it was
thought confirmed - consumption had taken place, the
Wild Cherry effected a cure.

medicine, are, in every respect, TRUE.
BEWARE OF COUNTERFEITS Ann IstrisTiorre.--The
unparalleled and astonishing efficacy or. Dr.' Wistar's
Balsam of Wild Cherry in all the diseases for which it
is recommended, curing many capes after the skill of
the best physicians was unavailing, has effected a
large and increasing demand for it. This fact has
caused several imprii siplml counterfeiters and imita
tors to palm off spurious
. niistures, of similar name
and appearance, for the genuine Balsam.
