Thera are but few. men at work in thiarogion at
present; and the shipments nre light again. This is
',also caused in a considerrble degree by the want of
adesziand for the article. At several of the collieries
the men are-ready to go . to 'work—but they find it
impossible to-effect tales until the fate of the Tariff
Bill now More Congress is aswtatned.
The shipments from the Lehigh region up to the
7th inst. amounts to 89,514 tons. . •
We have no returns from the Lackiwana region. %
White ,Ash Coal is now offered- an'board the yes
eel at Richmond, by the Rail R0ad,"at..53,23 Per ton,
and Red Ash at 83,50. . •
The trade on the Schuylhill;s dell„and quotations
remain same as formerly. Freights.coastwise have
