Worms being especially apt to infest persons of debil itated digestive organs and emaciated constitutions, much mischief is often done by the Ordinary worm med icines, which generally consists of the strongest purga tives, calomel, that destroyer of the constitution, bitters, pink root, spirits of turpentine, wormseee oil &c. &c. Articles of this kind may destroy worms, but they de bilitate the stomoch, and &len materially injure the general health, without removing the cause. E see by an advertisement in another. col ' rumn that IVP:ssrs. Nevertheless she mourned the 69 of locks that she had worn, and, after a year's ruitless resort to miscalled restoratives, purchased, some inontlis!togo, a,bottic or two of Oldridge's Btlin, and she has now ringlets in rich profusion, glossy, and of raven blackness. Letter from Mr. Cornfield, Travelling Agent for the United States. Messrs. T. & J. BEATTY I herewith enclose fur your service in the trak of advertising, the notice of Stichter & McKnight, successors to Keim & Stichter. Reading, who arc agents for Brandreth Pills, and perhaps for others'. You will perceive the force of their language, un.., der these circumstances, and my business is to rip/ prise you,of the testimony which the gentleman tO whom they refer have alrerdy given,—four of (hem prior to the reference, and one, Mr. G. H. Miller since the reference. but without being informed of it by me, or in any manner alluding to it. STICIITER & WICIVCIII, ( as successors to Keini & Stichter, Reading.) having been duly appointed county agents fin the excellent and superior rnedi-i , tine above named, are ! now prepared,to supply the demands of former agencies, and will be gratified by the appointment and supply of new ones, on the usual liberal terms. .• "For the character of these pills, we refer witli confidence, but without asked consent, to the MN lowing named gentlemen, who have sold them longi, enough to know their true value it) comparison with any others now iti marker. Their relative lot cation gives every facility to the inquirer who de-r serves to obtain; either for sale or use, a first rate article." To take them in consecutive order; then Mr. W. Porter, P o M., Maiden Creek, Jan, 26, took of me on commission, 6 doz. Since that time,,l•c pert chased of K. & S. Reading 6 dozen, and on the 4th inst. took 6 dozen of me, stating, that he never had a medicine which brought back so good a report' nor one which had so ready a sale. As he is Post Master, any person can easily and cheaply ascer tain whether my veracity,: can be impeached and at the same time learn what other pills, he sells or halt sold. Mr. G. H. Miller, late of Brickensville, had re-1 quested me to appoint him an agent for Wontels. dorf, because he well know the value of the article. April '2oth he took of me 4 dozer,' and on the 24th inst. he had sold 26 boxes, it being in Woinelsdurf,i a new article, and bought 2 dozen more. This statement is similar to the foregoing.' To Mr. M'Kinty, one down were sent'at a yen-I lure, perhaps in December. Jan. 25, I left him 21 dozen on commission, and on the II th inst. he paidi me for 7 dozen stating, as do the others, that aol medicine with which he is acquainted has as good) a name and so ready a sale. Peter Kline, P 0,4 Master, has sold to a man who! has the while swelling, probably near CO, whom I! seen, and who states, that no other remedy has rcn-1 dered him any service, but that this has, and now, that he is persuaded to persevere, I am fully persua-! ded he will entirely recover. Samuel Heckler, Post Master, sells the other pills„ but states, that he finds 4 of these equal to 8 or 9 oil them—that tho' he had these less tha t ') 4 months, and the others several years, of these he now sells! about 10 boxes where he has a call for one of the! other sort. Ile mentioned a woman who has du ring several yews suffered by the rheumatism, and though other retneties had been invoked, shot has not found any benefit, save in the use of these t '1 I would add much general and particular intorH mrtiun, but shall defer to a mule convenient oppor-i (unity an exposition which must be interesting to all who are liable to diseases. To the business in hand,l the referehce, I have paid the attention it seeinsi to merit, and I thus leave it with the earnest de-i sire that It may be read with candor, and produce the Orect to which truth is always entitled.
