THE passage of the teeth through the gums produces
troublesome and dangerous symptoms. It is known
by mothers that there is a great irritation in the month
and gums during this process. The gums swell, the se
cretion of the saliva is increased, the child is seised with
frequent and sudden fits of crying, watching, starting in
its sleep, and spasms in peculiar parts; the child ahrieke
with extreme violence. and theists its fingers into its
mouth. If these precureary symptoms ate not speedily
alleviated. spasmodicconvulsions universally supervents
and soon cause the dissolution of the infant. If mothers
who hive their little babes afflicted with these distress
ing symptoms, would apply the celebrated American
Soothing Syrup, which has preserved hundreds of infants
whey thought past recovery. from being suddenly attack
ed with that fatal malady convulsions.
This infallible remedy has preserved hundred/ when
thought past recovery, from convulsions. As soon as
the Syrup is rubbed on the gums. the child will recover.
This preparation is so innocent, so efficacious, and so
pleasant, that no child will refuse to letits gums be rubbed
with tt. When infants are at the age of four months,
though there is no appearance of teeth, one bottle of
the Syrup should be used on the gums to opcn the pores.
Parents should never be without the Syrup in the nursery
where there are young children, for if a child wakes m
the night with the pain in the gums, the syrup immedi
ately gires, ease. by opening the pores and healing the
gums; thereby preventing Convulsions. Fevers,dic.

Dr. D. Jayne—Sir : I take pleasore in informing
you that the bottle of Alibert's Hair Tonic wbiCh I

Mr. Bond. tine of the Compositors in the office-of
the Philadelphia Public Ledger, who had lost nearly .
all his hair from off the top of his head, has had it
completely restored by the use of this Tonic. Two
Officers of the American Navy had good heads of
hair restored:to them by using five bottles each of
this Hair Tonic, one of wham was over sixty years
of -age. Four 'gentlemen connected with the r oblic
press in Philadelphia, have also had their baldness
removed by using this remedy. The Rev Mr. Park
er. Pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Delaware
county, Pa., who was completely bald over all the
top ot his head, and was also becoming considerably
gray, has used only two bottles of this tonic, and
has not only a luxuriant growth of new hair upon
his head, but all the gray hairs have disappeared,
and their places have been Bioptic& by healthy hair
of a nabral colour. Finally. nine cases of baldness
out of every ten. may positively be removed by a
faithful appliCation of this invaluable remedy.—
There is, therefore, now no excuse for a boldhead.
