drug. Whis prineiple-(bepatine) is a mild and efficient
cathartic, and, as compounded, a.so acts as a untie di

Its action upon the system is very general, no part
escaping its influence ; it is, however, upon the secreta
ries and exeretories. that its great power is particularry
manifested ; from this it will be seen to have a three
effect upon the biliary organs, and to be particularly ai
dapted to the treatment of•Belious fevers and other dis
eases where a turpidity or eonjestion of the tiv-r and
Foetal arc& prevail; hence the great success that has
attended its adminilitratton in liner affections. dyspepsi
and diseases of the stomach and bowels generally. Be
ing diffusible in its operation. it produces a free circular
