cantile Advertiser oithe 16th met. gives us
the result of the State election in 22 coon•
lies, which have returned 29 Whigs and 25
Van Buren men. This is much better, so
far, than we expected. In the Congres
-ions! district made vacant by the death of
%1 r. Lawlor, Mr. Crab, the. Whig can&
date, was upwards s of 700 ahead, all the
counties` heard s frorri but one, and is no
doubt elected.
