THE RUBBIAN WAR —Under the management of Mr. Hanington, who in former times delight ed our citizens with his moving Dioramas, we aro to have an immense Dioramic Panorama of the Russian war, from its commencement up to the present. The City Hall has been engaged, and the exhibition opens next Thursday. We have seen many editorial commmdations, one of which we subjoin : " Tins GREAT EUROPEAN STRUGGLE —Those Who desire information concerning this all-ab• sorbing subject, cannot do better than visit the Grand Panorama of the Russian War, now on the point of closinOitthe City Conoert Hall. The painting is admirable, the scenes truthfully depicted, and the lecture in French and English highly edifying; with these inducements we do not know how the trifling price of admission could be more profitably invested. The moon light view of the fleet in the Baltic, the storm ing of Bomareund, and night after the brittle rf Inkermann, are each wet th double the price of admission, setting aside the extremely effective representation of a storm and shipwreck, iu which the varied flashes of lightning and truth. ful reverberations of thunder, accompanied by the fitful howling of the storm, form a toot en amble of terrific reality never to be forgotten. The attack of Sebastopol amidst the crash cf artillery and lurid flames, closes the represen. tation."—Montreal Commercial Advealieer July 2. Cot. ALDEN Is receiving lettere from those who have purchased county rights, and are now in their territory selling the Sheller to the ferm ent, stating that they are meeting with the moat unexpected success. This they attribute in part to the liberal patronage they have given the press in the county in which they operate. The excellency of the machine is acknowledged by nearly all who see it in operation ; but the at tention of all can only bo called to it by giving wide publicity to the facts in the case. A few dollars expended in advertisements and notices will do more to bring this great implement into notice than any thing else that can possibly be done. When it le once seen, it rises at once in the esteem of every judge of machinery far above everything that has been constructed for the purpose. Those purchasers have gone in all dirootions, and are in high spirits in regard to the rapid sales and handsome profits they ex pect to make ae Boon as they can get a supply of the machines equal to the great demand all over the contrtry. THE 1317PBEIfil COME, on Saturday, in the Washington county elopement case, gave a de oislon releasing the defendante, Mr. Geo.
