Saki boxes, on their arrival el the Bubl`reasury in New
York, wore (bend to contain buckshot of the else of 140 to
the pound, and pressed belle cf the like of 100 tv the pound,
to the amount of 174 pounds in weight, and 2.6 pound, of
sheet lead, No. 4. The boxes were made of white plus, any
loch thick, , ovetalled at the corners, about 10% Inches
long, 8% lecher wide, an 4% Inches deep, inside measure-
MOM. The bottom of one of the boxes was of hemlock.
They were strapped once around the middle with one inch
hoop iron. It Is claimed by the Depositary at Dubuque,
that the boxes each contained gold coin to the amount of
ra,poo. They were marked with cantle addressed to the
"Assistant Treasurer 11. B , New York," which tardy are ad.
mitted by the Depositary at Dubuque to be genuine.
Now, therefore, for the purpose of diecovering how this
fraud wee committed, and bringing to justice the perpetra
tors thereof, the American Brprom Company will pay $lO,.
010 for the recovery of the money, or in that proportion for
any part of it, and $B,OOO for the arrest and conviction of
the offender; end they will pay liberally for letbrmation
relative to the making of said boxes, the furrdshing of Kush
lead balls, shot. Lc., Ac., Ac.
