INFORMATION has been made to the Board of w—fiy
that caeca of cholera occurring outside of the city have
been brought within its limits for relief No dotihi thV
friends of the sick are prompted by motivro of humanity,
jut it is proper they should bo informed that they subject
themselves to a severe penalty by so doing.
The Legislature passed laws regulating this matter, Iti
<aees where the disease is malignant or contagious, in order
that the densely populated city may be protected from any-'
Unnecessary scourge, which, when It has gained a footing,
scarcely rests so long as there remains a subject for its to?

The Board of Health are determined to enforce the la*;
If patients seised with cholera, or any malignant or conta
gious disease, outside the city, must be removed to any of
the Hospitals, persons conveying them thither must have a
permit from the Board of Health.
The attention of all persons Interested is called to tbo
following sections of an act approved April 8,1B&2:

haring charge of any vessel or steamboat, violating any ol
